For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

Riva Tower, historic home

The fortress is spread over 4 levels. The ground floor consists of kitchen, fireplace and small bathroom. On the first floor is the dining room. On the second floor there is a double bedroom. On the third floor a bedroom with a bed from a square and a half and bathroom with shower and washing machine. hydro-pellets heating for harsh winter months The tower offers an enchanting view of the historic center of Fiumalbo and the surrounding mountains. Outside the house there is a large garden.

Pievepelago-Modern and spacious apartment

Located in the center of the village, you can easily walk to bars, restaurants, shops and all services (ATM, pharmacy, etc.). The apartment, located on the third floor, modern and bright, is equipped with all the comforts, the spaces are large and tastefully furnished. A beautiful terrace allows you to enjoy outdoor meals or a simple aperitif or coffee. From here, there are hiking trails by bike and on foot, in summer and winter. On-site, e-bike and snowshoe rental is available. It consists of 1 large room with kitchenette and living room, 2 bedrooms (2 double bedrooms with 1 balcony) and 1 bathroom. The chalet "Baita Le Pozze" in Abetone is an isolated cabin in the woods about 50 m from the road. This 2-storey property that offers wonderful mountain views consists of a living room, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms and can therefore accommodate 7 people (one bedroom has a single bed).
