Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Floyd County

The house was just as described and very clean. We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend visiting the wineries on the Parkway, and greatly enjoyed the back porch.

This was a great place for my dog and I to get away, listen to the rushing water of the creek, watch the honeybees explore the clover and take long walks together. The house is comfortable and clean. The porch has comfy rocking chairs. The host lives up a hill and around a bend so he'll give you plenty of space to relax but he's also there if you need him and great to visit with too. I look forward to my next trip to that beautiful spot in the mountains!

Such an excellent place to relax! David was super responsive, and the porch is super comfortable. The sauna and the spring water fed hot hub really enhanced the experience!

It’s no wonder Patty & Tom have such stellar reviews! Their cabin is one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in! Close to all Floyd has to offer, everything was meticulously thought of: fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, water & snacks, and little touches -as a woman I really appreciated. I worked from the cabin the entire week, as the desk was the perfect spot to hold meetings and enjoy the view of the snow falling as well as the fireplace in the living room. Our bedroom was cozy, the period furniture all about the cabin adding a sense of whimsy. Each evening we cooked in the spacious, well equipped kitchen and enjoyed our meals at the dining room table. Best of all, Patty and Tom are gracious, kind, and the kind of hosts that Airbnb should strive for. We look forward to visiting Patty, Tom, and the Cabin again!

We had a delightful stay. The locale was very quiet and private, which we enjoyed. Know that it is fairly remote and that the road up to the cabin is not a public road and is somewhat steep. We were in a sedan, which navigated the road fine, but I would have been concerned about traction if there were heavy rain. You'll also want to stock up on food on your way toward the cabin. If you're looking for a peaceful and remote place that is comfy, this definitely would fit the bill. We really enjoyed the hiking trail on Buffalo Mountain nearby.

It’s really hard to put into words the experience we had during our stay, but we’re going to give it a shot… Because Jennifer & Greg absolutely deserve it. If you’re looking for something different, this place is 100% worth it. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy quality time with friends while also finding moments to clear your mind and let your thoughts wander. Whether you’re into outdoor activities and want to explore the surroundings, or you’re more of an introvert who’d rather just soak in the artistic details and unique atmosphere of the house, there’s something for everyone. The first thing my friends and I said when we arrived was, “We have to come back.” And we truly hope we can make that happen soon.

We had a great time! The place itself is lovely-- an octagonal house in the middle of the woods, with a stream down the hill. We cooked over the firepit and ate under the stars. We waded in the stream and harvested wild ramps to season our dinner. Kathryn was very responsive to messages and questions, though the guidebook she'd made for the house was very comprehensive. We would definitely stay here again!

Jody's cabin was very clean and matched the description. You are really in the country, so don't expect amenities nearby. But if that's what you want, it's an excellent choice.

It is a wonderful place with amazing surroundings. The inside of the house is also very well maintained, feels right at home, and has a lot of space inside.
