There is a wood-burning fireplace, an outdoor barbecue (you must bring your own lighter and charcoal), a fridge, and a gas hob/cooker. There are plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. There are also frying pans and saucepans. There is no water supplied, so we will fill a water bottle with clean drinking water, which can be used for both cooking and washing up. Beautifully located cabin 20 meters from the river. New extension with running water and heating with new bathroom and shower, entrance with heated floor and new bedroom. The living room and kitchen are renovated. Inside the cabin there are 4 beds, a double bed 150 cm in one bedroom and two single beds 75 cm wide in another. Then there is an annex with an additional 4 sleeping places. In the annex there is electricity but no running water. Bring your own linens. Can be rented for NOK 100/10 Euro per person. In 2020 the bathroom and hall was totally refurbished, and a fiberoptic cable was installed with a fast wifi-connection.

This house is perfect located on your way to the Pulpit Rock (4 km to the starting trek). Close to our other famous nature attractions, as the Kjerag Rock and Lysefjorden cruise. Here is several other hikes in our near by mountains and spectacular nature and viewpoints. The house has good Wi-Fi based on fibre-optic cable. Jørpelandsholmen recreation area. There is a 2 km long trail around the island, play ground for children, swimming spots, Frisbee golf course and toilets.

Benedikte's house on architect-designed Svindland farm

Benedikte House is located about ten minutes drive from Egersund city center and about five minutes from E39. We have tried to recreate the hospitality of Benedikte - the last one who lived in the old house - in this modern and completely newly built farmhouse on the edge of the yard at Svindland farm. Here guests will find peace and quiet. On the farm there are horses, we have two dogs and a cozy peacock couple that walk freely. The house is very modern and well equipped.
