This cozy log-cabin was built by hand in 1929 and remains a living work of art. Located in the rolling hills of Homer, just 20 min. from Downtown, this stunning old homestead offers an authentic Alaskan experience with mountain views! Accommodations: 3 beds (1 Queen, 2 Twins), a full kitchen w/running water, modern Toyo heater and wood stove, a tidy outhouse, and a genuine Nordic Spa (sauna/coldplunge). This spot is close enough to enjoy the shops and cuisine of Homer 15 mins away, or enjoy the solitude and grab a cocktail at The Homestead nearby. Four miles beyond us takes you to Eveline State Rec Area. The cabin is cozy- monitor heat or the warmth of late day sun through the southwest facing picture windows. A clean composting outhouse completes the rustic atmosphere.

The stairs are a bit steeper than normal, so please look at the pictures before booking to ensure they are appropriate for your group. Only a 10 minute drive from downtown Homer.

Only 8 miles to the Spit, 5 miles to the Kilcher Homestead, but away from the hustle and bustle of Homer’s busy summer season. We provide breakfast bars & snacks, and you are welcome to use our washer and dryer (top of the stairs.) In summer, enjoy the outdoor area with firepit, gas grill, dining table & chairs. We even have room to park your boat (unless it's really huge.) NOT in the tsunami zone.

SUMMER guest have access to our washhouse with shower. . We are a small family ranch/peony farm. Located 18 miles out of Homer, on East end rd. about a 30 min drive out of town.
