The guest house is 15 minutes' walk from kawaguchiko station and about 3 minutes' walk from the convenience store. We are a two-story apartment with air conditioning and no smoking in all houses. 【とけとけ山荘】河口湖の絶景を眺めるこだわりの別荘。とけるようにくつろいでいただけたら嬉しいです。

風に､音に､緑に､湖に､太陽に､雲に､星に､月に､雨に､土に､雪に､そしてこの山荘にとけるようにくつろいでいただきたいという思いで「とけとけ山荘」と命名致しました。 グラフィックテザイン、彫刻、家具づくりを学び、ジュエリーデザイナーとして活動するオーナーが、建物、外構、インテリアまでほぼ全てデザインし、一部施工も致しました。いやいや、結構施工いたしました笑。 外観は温もりのある黒。焼杉という、杉を焼いた材料を真鍮の釘で留めています。西の地域で使用される伝統技法の珍しい外観です。 家具職人だった経験を生かし、室内の欄間やドアの小窓、照明、キッチンバックカウンター 、棚、看板などなど無垢の木を使い自作致しました。また古道具をリメイク、リサイズしたものもあり、ここにしかないものがたくさんあります。床や階段は無垢の杉板、壁はドライウォール というアメリカの技法を使った塗り壁で、こちらも職人さんに手伝っていただきながらの自主施工です。温もりのある、新しいようなどこか懐かしいような落ち着く空間を目指しました。

The newly built house just opened in September 2020. It is located up on the hill in Yamanakako Forest Villa, right next to Hananomiyako Kouen. The Mt. Fuji view is just a few minute's walks from the house, and you can see it during the wintertime from the house deck. Surrounded by forest, the calming scenery is the best place to spend time with your families and friends, BBQ in the summer, or even working remotely.
