Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Galle

Very good place to stay. Location is quiet, not far from city center(few minutes on bike or 5-10 minutes walking). Host provided everything needed(fan, kitchen, extension). Minuses: 1. Internet is not working well(either mobile internet dialog or router, provided by host, not working well 2. Place was a bit dusty. It’s definitely needs a cleaning

We stayed with her husband and daughter for 1.5 years in Unawatuna in December 2019. Location- you will love it if you need a quiet and peaceful stay. The house is in the private sector, where locals live. Clean, cozy. There is a servant on the ground floor who cleans your floor. Everything you need is there. Very convenient, that you could use a washing machine. The servant came to clean every other day, also for a tip, I needed to remind me of linen linen and towels. Doesn't speak much English, but that didn't bother me at all, as a neighbor came to the rescue. The servant brought us coconut - apparently from the palm tree from their plot - and a stuffed toy from the hosts as a gift when he learned about his birthday. A responsive kind person is a neighbor who was always ready to help, suggest, as well as for reasonable money to drive around the city by agreement. We felt very cozy, like home. The beach is 10-15 minutes away by bike. The convenience store also within walking distance - very close A large supermarket. But there is absolutely nowhere to walk around the house. There is no cafe nearby. And we didn't find any food delivery either. But the house has a kitchen with everything you need. It was easy to make breakfast, dinner, which we did, and dined on the beach in a cafe. We were completely satisfied with the choice of this place. The price matches the quality.

A family stayed with two preschoolers. The house has everything for a comfortable life: a washing machine, a toaster, a juicer, a full kitchen in general. There is a water heater in the shower. Each bedroom has air conditioning and mosquito net. But we didn't use it, there were enough fans and open windows, and there was expensive electricity in Sri Lanka. Chandana (the host of the villa) was always available to help us with anything. He lives in the next villa and everything was very prompt: whether it's a transfer, tours or our inability to handle local insects. On the day of arrival, Chandana took us for free to a small tour of the city, showed the beaches, ATMs, shops, etc. The return flight was night, and the villa hosts did their best for our comfortable late check-out. Yes, they paid for the electricity separately, according to the counter. Also with gas, there is no central gas in Sri Lanka, there will be a cylinder, but it is not expensive. Cleaning is also not included in the price, 1000 rupees at a time, clean well. Among the disadvantages, I note that we were still far away, walking along the coastal road of Hikkaduwa well... not very comfortable, especially with children (they do not have sidewalks, and traffic is typically Asian). Therefore, when booking this villa, you should expect a tuk tuk or bikes in advance.

This apartment has beautiful views of Galle and really feels as if you are in a rainforest at times. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean tidy and the AC/fans are great. The only downside would be that there is a school next door and made some loud noises/singing around 7am

we spend 11 nights at this place and re absolutely happy with it regardless of the barking dogs in the night and friendly during the day.

Quite simply my favourite place I've ever stayed. We went as two couples, myself and girlfriend in the downstairs apartment and another couple in the upstairs apartment. I can't recommend the place enough, you stay on a small compound of two villas and an elderly couple who are the caretakers for the grounds. It is private and secure, the caretakers are lovely and often came around offering us fruit and coconuts as a nice gesture. The pool is cleaned everyday and is lovely, there is also an out door shower next to the pool. We also saw a lot of wildlife around the apartments which was amazing. The downfalls is that the water pressure in the upstairs apartment sometime didn't really work so they had to use the downstairs apartments shower. Also it is about a 20 minute walk from town, which you might see as a bonus. It's easy and cheap to get a tuk tuk to town as and when you need one. It should also be noted that the pool is shared with the other villa in the compound, so it is not completely private. Hikka Villa's the company that runs the villas were fantastic, great with communication, helped us organise a tour and were over all very helpful and pleasant to deal with

I with my friends stayed here and we really enjoyed our time there! The place is lovely and 100% matches photo, Location is also very good - there're beach, cafes and big grocery store are in 15-minute walk. Kelani and Shantha were very welcoming and supportive in everything! Highly recommend this place, would love to revisit it!

Hi everyone! Chandana, thank you for your home and your mom :), we really enjoyed the house; large, clean, cozy, clean bed, clean SU, everything is very good. The location of the house is far from the beach but if there is a bike or Tuk duck, this problem is solved. We are very pleased with this villa. Thank you. Our rating is 5!

We stayed for 12 nights in the one bed apartment upstairs, light and airy, light bathroom, cooking facilities and fridge etc. Very friendly host, and we loved the beautiful village location. 2 superb restaurants within 5 minutes walk, and we regularly walked to the beach, 15/20 mins or 5 mins in a tut tut. Pool was a bonus, thankyou!!!

Was tucked in a very cute, peaceful neighborhood. Felt very authentic, no hostels or hotels nearby. The host (and neighbors) were very friendly. There is a large beautiful yard, attended to by a gardener. Would definitely recommend.

2 families of 5 each stayed here. The staff were very attentive and Rohana, the chef was wunderbar! Cooked us some amazing meals and catered to all our requests. The kids loved the pool, even though the resident water monitor got first dibs one day🤪 A lovely, relaxing stay; exactly what we hoped for. We even got treated to a peacock dance outside our window. Lucky us!

Wow.....We stayed for our winter break for two months and it was fantastic. The villa, although a little quirky was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the outside areas were fantastic, really good pool and beutifully kept gardens, with direct access to the beach and nearby restaurants. Gievs was always on hand to give us local information and to resolve any problems that occurred. Having problems reaching the beach due to the sand retracting with the tide he organised wooden steps to make our access easier within day....fantastic. The biggest joy of our stay was the house manager...Sadika who was always on hand to keep the villa pristinely clean and serve the best gin and tonics in Sri Lanka. his mother would come and cook our meals if we wished and honestly, her food was outstanding, beating most restaurant standards in the area.
