Vidkærhøj

If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗

Beautiful apartment in rural surroundings, located in Søhøjlandet, halfway between Aarhus and Silkeborg. From the apartment, you can see a fantastic view to the south and west. You can use our fireplace, firewood is included. There is a private terrace with morning sun. On the farm there are horses, cows, chickens and turkeys. REMEMBER to bring your own bed linen, otherwise it is possible to rent this. Payment for this is made on arrival. REMEMBER to clean on departure.

There is a stream along the garden, a fireplace and the possibility of spending the night outdoors under a roof. The house is 196 m2 on two floors with 2 bathrooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen. 4 bedrooms with 6 beds in total. The property is located in hilly terrain suitable for cycling. The bicycle race Rondevanborum runs past the house every spring.

Welcome to our cozy one room apartment in the countryside. The apartment is located in a separate annex in connection with our house (we have two Airbnb apartments in the same annex). So you have your own place with a fully equiped kitchen, a bathroom, a terrace and a small green space. The terrace and the green space is shared with the other apartment in the annex. The apartment overlooks Aarhus Ådal and Årslev Engsø. Car is an advantage, but there is a bus to the centre at the door as well as a nice bike and walking path around the lakes and into the city.
