During wintermonths we have the privilege of a private show of the world famous northern lights. Some bus drivers know about this spot and sometimes they bring their passengers to our neighbourhood to enjoy the show. In the master bedroom we have a big window in the roof to be able to watch and stay warm.

Lyngbær is the name of this little house, it is located in Bræðratunga in the outskirt of Mosfellsbæ, only 50 minutes drive from the International Airport. Lyngbær is surrounded with fir trees and birch, moss and mountains, with hiking trails all around, and near by is the lake Hafravatn. 2 km to the next grocery store, and 3 km to the center of Mosfellsbæ, where you can find a bakery, restaurants and library. About 600 meters to the bus stop, where you can take the bus to Reykjavík centrum.

A very comfortable large 100,4m² (1080 ft²) apartment on the third floor (no lift) for up to six persons, close to the old harbor and only 950 m from the city center in the residential area of downtown Reykjavík (101). Free public parking across the street. The house is in front of a primary school which I love because it is so alive when the children go out to play. The school started at 08:30 and you might hear the bell ringing and children and parents coming to school.
