The Hut in Radio Kootwijk in a unique location.

On top of the Veluwe massif is the small village of Radio Kootwijk. This village was founded around 1920 around "Building A" in which the long wave transmitter stood for the radio telephone connection to what was then the Dutch East Indies. And later for all intercontinental telephone connections TOR (telephone over radio). Later connections with ships. It became redundant after satellite. Our cozy bungalow is located in the middle of the woods of the Overijssel Vechtdal. The forest house has a beautiful sauna and a big (wild) garden of more than 1000 m2 where you can rest and enjoy all the flora and fauna. From the cottage you can walk, cycle and swim for hours. There are beautiful routes and you can easily jump in a canoe or enjoy a terrace in the lively Hanseatic town of Ommen. Of course, a day out in Nijmegen is a must, whether for shopping or soaking up some culture! You can also enjoy wonderful walks or cycle trips in the immediate vicinity.
