Holiday rentals in Gifford Pinchot National Forest

We stayed as a group of two families - 4 adults and 5 kids. We were thrilled to be able to bring our dog with us. It rained almost our entire stay, so we weren’t able to do as many Outdoor activities as planned, but it meant we were able to really use all the activities provided in the bunkhouse - puzzle, board games, video games, etc. There is a market, a brewery and a coffee shop all within blocks, so it was super easy to pick up any supplies we forgot. The house is a little dark, we found ourselves wishing for a little more light. The kitchen had almost everything we needed. We did end up purchasing more paper towels and some ziplocks. The double oven was very helpful. Some larger sheet pans would have helped to be able to cook for such a large group, but we just did things in batches. Overall we highly recommend this place and hope to return someday.

The house was beautiful and even better than we expected. The hot tub was amazing even in the snow and the river view from the deck was majestic. There was plenty of room for the family, lots for us to do together and just a short drive to the pass for some fun in the snow. Highly recommend!

I was looking for peaceful and this place was so peaceful and the views were absolutely stunning. My only problem was that I wanted to stay more time! Jim’s directions were very clear and the host was very responsive. The cabin was bigger than I expected and it was so charming. My children loved that they got to stay in a real cabin. If peace and quiet a place to unplug from your phone and just enjoy nature and get away from city life this is the perfect place for that, even if it’s for a short stay like myself. Everything was perfect and just so beautiful! Thank you Jim for sharing your home it is a gem!

Nice peaceful, quiet, and relaxing place to stay. Friendly host. Plenty of things to do inside the house with a game room. The WiFi works nicely, and plenty of movie apps on the tv. The coffee bar is a nice addition to the house as well. Neighbors are friendly if and when you see them. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, privacy, with a nice view of the mountains give the Randle retreat a try. I will definitely keep this place on my rotation of places to visit. Thanks again Will. Jeaneva's place is a great spot for adventuring in the Packwood area. We spent the weekend at WhitePass snowboarding and the cabin is just 20 min from the ski area. It has a very private feel and an awesome deck for hanging out. The beds are very comfortable and it was very clean. We will definitely be back.

Nick is an incredible host- attentive and responsive. We left a special item behind by mistake, and he went out of his way to work to get it returned to us! The hot tub and sauna were also highlights of the stay.

Patt’s place was wonderful, and such a cozy home to return to after hiking! The little notes around the home were super clear- easy check-in, huge comfy bed, easy check out. The heaters totally warmed us up after freezing winter hikes. We loved our stay and highly recommend to anyone visiting Ashford or Ranier. Minutes away from the park entrance, and such a serene, private cabin!
