Monthly Rentals in Glendree Lower

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage. I was a nervous driver, new to Ireland’s country roads, so getting to the house was a little scary, but we loved the privacy the place held once there. Definitely a rustic cabin, but appreciated the supplies keeping the fire roaring for nice hot showers and baths. As an American, I was probably more disappointed by having no freezer or a way to keep ice, but that’s just me. My husband and I enjoyed the nights playing scrabble and reading. Truly a place to be immersed in Irish country bliss.

A beautiful home with a great history. Comfortable beds. Beautifully decorated. There is a washer and dryer to use which was extremely helpful to have in the middle of our several days in Ireland. A fully supplied kitchen with kettle, microwave, range and refrigerator. Tea and coffee with some spices. Any dish or drinking vessel or silverware you might need. Cooking pots and pans too. Paul and Joan are amazing to talk to. If there was any thing that we wanted or needed they did what the could to make it happen. Joan offered so many suggestions for side trips to accommodate our interests in exploring their area of Ireland. I would stay with them again for sure.

We spent a great week as a family of five at The Barn. The space is comfortable, warm and clean, and the setting is lovely. It’s a great place to explore Clare, Limerick, Lough Derg and Galway, and beyond, with plenty of day trips within driving distance. The renovation of the barn as a holiday home is really well executed and you get a real sense of the project, with photographs etc detailing its progress. Zita was an attentive and communicative host.

We had a lovely stay, the location is perfect for nice walks, scenery and a beautiful private stream at the back of the house. Such a peaceful place. Denis and Joyce were perfect hosts they made us feel so welcome and gave us really good tips on local places to visit. A short walk to Feakle village which has a few pubs and a restaurant called Peppers at the end of the village. Such a friendly and welcoming place to visit, perfect for a nice get away and some down time.
