Monthly Rentals in Glenhead Farm

The Bothy is a wonderful place for both r&r and as a base to explore the wilds of Scotland. It’s incredibly peaceful, cosy, and well located. There are plenty of walks that leave from the front door, as well as some beautiful longer walks a short car ride or cycle away. Susannah was a wonderful host and kept in touch which was much appreciated. Definitely stay here if you can!

Alexander and Gail communicated well from the point of booking. Check in was straightforward, with Alexander messaging with instructions prior to us arriving. We were greeted on arrival which was appreciated. They were the perfect hosts in that they were unintrusive but were on hand if we had any issues. This is a beautiful property in a tranquil location, but within easy walking distance of the town centre. It had everything we needed and more. The tea, coffee, fresh milk and shortbread was welcome on arrival. We had absolutely no issues or reason to complain. We hope to be back. Highly recommended

A lovely cottage away from the town, set amongst wonderful wildlife and dark night skies. The cottage was very comfortable and welcoming with a stocked wood pile, good heating and hot water, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils you expect. It was all you imagine about an old country cottage which retained some old features from the past but has been updated to ensure that you wanted for nothing. It is definitely a place I will return to again.

Pat was a great host - she met us on arrival and gave great recommendations for both walking and eating in the area. The lodge was really close to the Cairngorms for hiking (30mins from Glenshee), and other walking areas which was perfect for our stay. The lodge had lots of basic amenities, ideal for cooking etc. It was secluded, with lots of wildlife and farm animals surrounding which made for a lovely and peaceful stay. Would love to stay again!
