OPEN 20 March 2026 Nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, lies a quiet, traditional Japanese-style inn, where only one group is accommodated per day: B&B Morino Akari.(The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner prepared by the owner are included (see photos for reference). ⚫︎ We can also provide meals for pescatarians and vegetarians. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the property is for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time as freely as if you were renting the entire building. This spacious area, measuring approximately 230 m², can accommodate up to eight people.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also excellent access to Yoshinoyama, a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kinnosuke-sanji Temple, a World Heritage Site. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roof while creating a comfortable space for you to enjoy.The tranquillity of the mountains, the gentle light that shines at night.Here, you can enjoy a moment to forget about everyday life. To enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, we recommend travelling by car. Features of our stay It is a 5-minute walk from the nearest station. It can be reached in about 15-30 minutes to major tourist destinations, and is recommended as a base for sightseeing. You can go to Namba Station, Shinsaibashi, and Umeda Station in less than 20 minutes. You can go to Kyoto and Kobe with a small number of transfers.

Ittougashi

You can rent a guest house in a full-fledged Japanese house built about 100 years ago in the Taisho era. You can relax and enjoy your stay in Nara. It is located right next to Nara Park and about a 10-minute walk to Kintetsu Nara Station. It is also easy to take a stroll in the quiet early morning or evening. Same price for up to 4 people.It can accommodate up to 9 guests. The latticed windows, tea rooms, verandas, courtyards, and Japanese houses built in the Taisho era are full of charm. Please relax in the living room with a sunken brazier facing the courtyard. The kitchen is equipped with an IH stove, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, pot, cooking utensils, etc. Cook together and enjoy a meal around the kotatsu while looking out at the garden! There are two toilets and two shower rooms. There are no facilities like a hotel, but we would appreciate it if you could have a nostalgic atmosphere and a relaxing time. There are only bedrooms, for a total of 3 rooms (4 rooms if you divide the large Japanese-style room). We will prepare it according to the number of people. Limited to one group per day, Guest House Agai is convenient for walking the Kumano Kodo and playing in the river. You can experience country life.

Guesthouse Agae is a limited stay for one group that has been renovated from an old private house.The property is in a very convenient location, with the Kumano Kodo and Chikurōji approximately 550 metres away (around a 7-minute walk), and a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and a restaurant (Tororoya) all within a 1-minute walk. As the owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, we will do our best to answer any questions you may have about walking the ancient pilgrimage route, provide advice, and offer transport if needed.We can also provide a personal guide, so please feel free to enquire. "Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)

Ocean View Retreat in a Quiet Fishing Village

This is a private, whole-house guesthouse located in the quiet fishing village of Nigishima, Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. On the way to Nigishima, you’ll be greeted by the deep blue ocean known as “Kumano Blue,” and the house sits overlooking the calm waters of Nigishima Bay. To reach the house, you will need to climb approximately 50 steps (about a 5-minute walk), but a beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere await you at the top.
