The cycling distance (2 bicycles and tandem available) to the city center is less than 10 minutes. On the west side, there is a terrace of about 16 m2 with furniture where you can enjoy the last rays of the sun until late in the evening. The location is located on open water, you can fish and swim in summer and use the canoe and an electric rental sloop.

The monumental building dates from 1907 and is located in the middle of the city center, close to museums, restaurants, cozy shopping streets and the station. Hidden in the Leeuwarden district of Huizum, lies the former kindergarten "Boartlik Begjin". At the end of the Ludolf Bakhuizenstraat, lies this special quiet place, within walking distance of the city center and the train station. A nice base to go into the city, shop or visit one of the museums. And also to discover the rest of Friesland. The room is also suitable as a home office (WiFi available).
