Absolutely wonderful cottage! The view out the back windows every morning was breath taking. Super peaceful and relaxing!

The house was better than what it looked on the photos. It’s the best location on White Head since it is beside a very nice sandy beach. There’s another even more beautiful sand beach within 20 minutes walk (not accessible by road) where we spent a lot of time. The house is fully equipped and we liked the fact that it was still full of the presence of the family that inhabited it. It felt warm and comfortable. It’s obvious that the owner is working on the place to make it even better. There are new washer/dryer, new windows and porch, etc. We had wonderful weather and we were always amazed by the coming in and out of the foggy clouds on the island. The landscape was very interesting to watch, with birds and seals, rocks, shells and urchins. Vaneessa was always available for any questions or help.

Everything was perfect. The directions were perfect, the house was exactly as advertised (maybe even better), the views took our breath away. It was such a beautiful location. An incredible place if you're looking to rest and restore. Absolutely private yet close to restaurants and attractions. Great place if you like to hike and commune with nature. Of course, you have to tear yourself away from the haven that is your own personal paradise perched high above shore where you can sit on your own covered deck with a fine glass of wine and watch the majestic blue herons swoop by, and the silence is only broken by the call of the gulls - heck, we even got to watch a bald eagle perch at the top of a nearby tree to check us out. Thank you, Andy, for sharing such a special place!

June's place is is in a great location. 10 minute bike ride or 5 minute drive to the ferry. The beds are comfortable and there is a great spot to sit out front under the apple tree. This is our second time at June's and she is the most responsive host, quickly answering any questions you might have. The kitchen is well equipped with full sized fridge, stove and washer/ dryer which is useful during longer stays. You will love the character of the cottage.

This is such an ideal place to get away and leave all your worries behind :) We have two children (2 and 7) and they loved it here! The yard space and scenery is beautiful for children or pets and the view is also quite lovely. Walking distance to the beautiful deep cove beach was another plus! Can't wait to come back in the Summer and try the outdoor shower - which would be perfect for rinsing off the sand before entering the lovely homey living quarters! 10/10 for sure, would highly recommend and we will absolutely be back!

This is the second time we have stayed in Wanda's place. It is clean, comfortable, and cozy. The beach is withing walking distance and the house has views of the water across the street. The market in Lubec is a quick drive. Wanda is friendly and quickly responds to any questions or needs. We would definitely stay here again.

We were so pleased to stay in a Deer Island Family home. Joanne's home/cottage was very clean with many amenities and well located on the island. It's not hard to see how the island gets its name, there are deer every where. Five deer greeted us every morning!

We have stayed here before a couple years back and would absolutely stay again! It’s such a lovely spot, with lots of useful amenities and cozy little touches that make the place unique and extra enjoyable. The location is great, the price is very fair, and the hosts are easy to get in touch with and very responsive and friendly. Thanks for another fantastic stay!

Very peaceful location! Easy to disconnect from technology & just enjoy the surroundings. Lots of great trails that are easily accessible nearby. Exactly what I’d hoped for with a long weekend away from home!

We booked this space for my parents from South Africa and they had a delightful stay at Eastport. The hospitality from our host,Janet, enhanced our experience. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and we could not wish for a more attentative host. The unit was pristine clean and beautiful and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Tammy’s communication and responsiveness is so far above the rest. She wants you to have the best vacation you can possibly have. The beads are very comfortable and the sheets felt amazing. She has succeeded in making it a comfortable, quaint little slice of heaven in a vintage home. It was fun to watch the rise and fall of the tide under the Campobello Bridge. A pristine and well-equipped retreat in charming Eastport, Maine! We stayed in early December and the holiday decorations are up along Water Street. We loved the sunny morning light in the dining area and comfortable living room. Thoughtful details include soft throws and options on terms of coffee makers! Thank you for a great stay!

This will be my 3rd summer enjoying this breath taking spot and the island is just a beautiful bonus ! Each year I met new dark harbour residents and I see the old faces I met years before , kind folks who will spot and chat with ya. I left one of my hummingbird feeders because I have never seen so many and I actually had one land on my feeding rings when it was on my finger !!! (1cup sugar to 4cups water and bowl) The steps out back were such a great add on this year :) another year of memories made at this hidden gem on the best part of the island .

Great location! The view overlooking the water was beautiful. The house is close enough to downtown that it's easy to walk to the breakwater and shops, but it's far enough away so that you don't hear any of the hubbub (we were there over the Fourth of July). The house was clean and had all of the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Thanks!

The house was amazing and more than we could imagine! It was a perfect getaway for us and our 4 legged child. We ate at The Public House in Machias and it was delicious! Definitely recommend going. Mason Brewery also in Machias was excellent. Quoddy Head State Park was a definite must see and only 3 miles from the house. The hiking was beautiful and was great for our pooch. We’ll definitely be back!

Just left lubec, this house was perfect for what we needed, very happy, right on the ocean and easy commute to anywhere around here, clean and had everything we needed. I will be booking this house in any future trips to lubec! Thank you!!
