Monthly Rentals in Grant County

We enjoyed our stay at Ellen's. It was comfortable, and Ellen has lots of 'everything' in case you forget something. Even decaf coffee! Loved the location. Not far from Silver City, and accessible to the Catwalk and the Gila Cliff Dwellings -- both awesome field trips. Enjoyed the little hike on Ellen's property, where we got to watch an incredibly fast jackrabbit zigzagging around.

We loved our month at the Casita. My favorite part was the sunny back deck. The lack of washer and dryer was no problem, because it was easy to do a quick hand wash in the bathtub and then dry the clotheson the deck—we just bought a clothes drying rack from Walmart and never had to go to the laundromat. The heater worked really well, and it felt so cozy on chilly nights. The Internet was excellent. I worked remotely and never had a problem. The kitchen was great – – microwave, big stove with oven, full-size refrigerator, lots of pots and pans… I did a lot of cooking and it felt like home. The showers were plenty hot. We took short showers and never had any problem with running out of hot water. We were fine without a TV. Silver city is a great place for area hiking (be sure to do the Catwalk) and doing other short trips, such as Chiricahua National Monument (amazing) City of Rocks and Guadalupe National Park. We enjoyed mountain biking in the Bayard trails. We want to come back.

This was our third stay at Julie's place, and once again, it was grand. Super quiet. Surrounded by a world of pine trees! Big skies and birdsong all around. It's such a cute and cheerful home. Nicely designed and appointed from ceiling to floor. Wonderful bed, terrific kitchen, cozy seating. Everything fits in this space, and somehow looks spacious! My husband and I hung out there for local hiking and outdoor stuff, then recharged at the tiny house at day's end. It was a joy. Julie was also very accommodating and helpful when I had questions. Thank you!

I like airbnb because it sometimes allows me to stay somewhere I would otherwise never get to know. Cheryl's place is in an unusual location and staying in her place gives a very small sense of what it would be like to live on the outskirts of Silver City. The starry sky was beautiful and I really appreciated the wood stove (but only succeeded one night in getting it going). I also really liked the sense of an older (adobe?) home, it's more curved lines. The Mimbres Cultural Heritage site was closed when I visited but I still enjoyed my time there alone, and crept down to the river, which was special. Very memorable experience. Thank you.
