The cottage retains many original features but has lovingly been brought into the 21st century with its warm and inviting decor. Situated on a pedestrianised cobbled street, the cottage is a stones throw away from the the beach, harbour, river and High St and a mere 30 second walk to pubs, cafes and art galleries. There are many possibilities for family activities, for walking, hiking, road and mountain biking and running. The beautiful beach at Saltburn is also only a 15 minute drive away. There are several excellent and unique cafes, restaurants and bars.

The house has been sympathetically decorated and furnished to reflect its heritage, with a beautiful collection of traditional, upcycled and vintage inspired furniture to support independent, local businesses. We are dog friendly. Outside we have a secure, seated courtyard. Stokesley and the local area hosts all manner of restaurants and cafes, many of which are dog-friendly.

The Cottage occupies a front line position, with breathtaking, uninterrupted sea views, just off the high street in the bottom of staithes old town. Two minutes walk from the famous Cod & Lobster pub and eatery. Sleeps 2 The cottage used to be the communal bakery where the womenfolk would bring their dough to be baked You will find yourself immersed in the history of this quaint old village once home to Captain James Cook, artist Dame Laura Knight, and countless smugglers.
