Castleton is lucky to have two great pubs The Downe Arms with fabulous food and atmosphere right across the road and The Eskdale which serves lovely ‘fine dining food’ but also lovely just for a drink. There’s the Old Chapel Tearoom, Premier & ‘Off the Scale’ shop We are also along the Esk Valley train line to Whitby

Our self-contained studio apartment has a shower room, store room, well equipped kitchen, superking bed ( Available as 2x3ft. singles if required), a terrace & garden overlooking open countryside with uninterrupted views of the Cleveland Hills & Captain Cook's Monument. It is a 3 min drive/15min walk to the bustling town of Stokesley where there are restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, supermarkets, take-aways, a weekly Friday market and a popular Farmers' Market on the 1st Saturday of the month.

This modern place to stay is perfect for anyone visiting the area;professionals,families&friends alike.Spread across the top floor of one of the largest houses in Marton,with it’s own guest entrance,it offers space,security&privacy. ‘The Penthouse’ comprises of2double bedrooms,a bathroom&open living area.There is also the option to turn a double room into a twin for flexibility. It has its own fridge,kettle,tea&coffee,workspace, TV&access to a utility(m’wave,toaster,airfryer,hob) for cooking.

North Yorkshire Shepherds Hut Great Ayton

Great Ayton TS96HY. The Yorkshireman is situated in a Quiet and restful position close to the hills for walks. Clean and comfortable, the Shepherds Hut is near to Great Ayton, the childhood home of Captain Cook, with lovely tea rooms and friendly villagers. It's a 10 minutes drive is the North Yorkshire Moors gateway which will lead you to Whitby. (Our apologies but with a heavy heart we decided not to allow dogs as it is such a small space and we have to consider other guests allergies 🤧)

Bumble Cottage. Lovely 2 bedroom Edwardian cottage

Bumble cottage is a beautiful family and dog friendly holiday home. Only a short walk from the centre of the village. Great Ayton is situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors and provides a wonderful base for exploring the local area. There are many possibilities for family activities, for walking, hiking, road and mountain biking and running. The beautiful beach at Saltburn is also only a 15 minute drive away. There are several excellent and unique cafes, restaurants and bars.

Riverside Guest Annexe

Riverside guest annexe is in a secluded garden but is within 50m of Waterfall Park and Great Ayton High Green, with its shops, pubs, cafes, take-aways and Tourist Information. The annexe is attached to our house, but has its own entrance, patio, garden area and parking space. We can accommodate 2 adults comfortably, plus a third adult or up to 2 children on our pull-out and/or sofa bed. We provide bedding, towels and toiletries. No smoking or pets are permitted in the annexe.

Lapwing Romantic Shepherd Hut & Private Hot Tub

Offering a peaceful retreat on the edge of a working farm, with lots of luxurious extras including goodie hamper, fluffy towels, robes and slippers for your stay. Park up the car, chill out and relax. A luxury hot tub awaits, pop open the bubbly, sit back and watch the sun go down!

Little Owl Landpod

Set slap bang in the middle of the North York Moors, Little Owl is a truely special space to sit back, relax and soak up the magic of the moors! The Landpods are suitable for small families but we do not accept groups or parties. There are two small double beds but bedding is not provided. There is electricity in the pods and a Shepherds Hut next to them for cooking. The toilets are only short walk away and there is a fire pit to enjoy those special evenings!

Upsall Grange Farm cottage

A beautifully renovated farmhouse with fantastic views of Roseberry Topping and the Cleveland Hills Snuggle up for a cosy evening in front of the wood burner The immaculate south-facing garden is a great place to relax on the furniture and fire up a BBQ. This cottage is 10 minutes away from Yorkshire moors and from many beautiful beaches. Please note, this property is on a Equestrian yard.
