Monthly Rentals in Greene County

We had the pleasure of staying at this cabin during our visit to New Vrindavan, and though our trip started with challenges, it became unforgettable thanks to Shane and his incredible family. Our car got stuck in the muddy gravel road upon arrival. Shane and his family worked tirelessly all day to help us, even into the evening, despite lacking the right tools. Their determination and care deeply moved us. The next morning, Shane went above and beyond, searching the city for tools and successfully freeing our car that afternoon. To our amazement, he offered us an extra night at no cost. We’ve never experienced such kindness and generosity. Shane and his family treated us like their own, with genuine care and compassion. Anytime we visit the area, we’ll book this cabin and recommend it to everyone. Shane and his family are some of the kindest, most generous people we’ve ever met. Host was wonderful! Great communication prior to check-in and extremely flexible we us throughout. We brought our two large pups and they had a blast running around the property in the snow. Be mindful that you may not get cell reception once you’re on the property. We had great reception Friday night but were both on SOS for the remainder of the weekend until we got back on the highway Sunday. There’s also no TV, so if you come during colder weather like we did when you’re unable to enjoy outside at length, be mindful and bring games or activities. It was refreshing not having access to our cells or a TV throughout the weekend and did ensure lots of quality time, but I likely wouldn’t stay again without an alternate means of contact in the future just for safety reasons. Overall a great location if you’re looking for “middle of nowhere” vibes or an Airbnb for larger dogs to stay comfortably.

Absolutely cute late 1800s schoolhouse that’s been converted! Exactly like the pictures :) Gorgeous horses & cows & deer were so peaceful. Will definitely be back! :)
