Holiday rentals with lake access in Guimaraes

We truly enjoyed our time relaxing at this scenic and historic place. Right along the river, attached to walking trails in a little park. Plenty of space and all the comforts of home. We spent a cool December evening here cozying up next to the fire and reading about the history of the region. The bridge/entrance dates back to roughly 1660-1740, incredible!

Estadia no início de março. Local e paisagem maravilhosos. Tranquilidade, contexto, o som do rio, a casa, tudo de uma grande beleza. O anfitrião, em minha opinião, é como deve ser: responsivo a qualquer dúvida, sem qualquer intrusão. Perto da Régua, Pinhão, rio Douro, Lamego, Porto o que permite um programa muito diversificado. Excelente estadia. A casa superou as expectativas, lindíssima e muito arrumada. Cheirava muito bem. Para além disso, o sítio era extremamente calmo e com bastante privacidade. Foram bastante atenciosos, sempre prontos a ajudar. Tivemos uma pequena situação que acabamos por conseguir resolver sozinhos, no entanto foram atenciosos ao ponto de deixar um cesta com pequeno almoço à nossa porta pelo incómodo que tivemos. Recomendo 100% e com certeza voltaremos lá.

We had a lovely week at the house and the surrounding nature. The house was beautifully located, well equipped and clean! Although we had very rainy weather during our stay, we still enjoyed beautiful hikes and the house offered a cosy refuge for us. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone else. Thank you for the hospitality António!

Incredible location - such a special home, perfect for a peaceful getaway, and our dog loved it! The house is very large with everything you need for a few days. The views are just amazing, and everywhere we wanted to go (hiking trails, waterfalls, restaurants) was around 30-45 minutes drive away. The town itself is very quite, but it was exactly what we wanted. We found the bed wasn't the most comfortable, but after a long day of hiking, it was fine. Thank you Paulo for the beautiful home. :)

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit bei Eusébio. Der wunderschöne Garten mit Pool ist super zum entspannen. Es gibt einen direkten Zugang zum Fluss, der am Anwesen vorbeifließt. Hier kann man mit dem Tretboot oder Standup paddle-Board fahren (kann man sich vor Ort ausleihen). Eusébio ist seh nett und hilfsbereit!

Cesars place is a great find! The little house is very well thought through, with very modern touches to an eco home. The balcony area has an amazing view with the river running right below. The location is great, being only 5 minutes drive to the centre of guimaraes but also being in a more rural area with nice forested views. Cesar is a wonderful host and provided a delicious organic breakfast - including yogurts, granola, eggs, bread and fruit. Very recommended.

From the moment we booked Isabel was extremely helpful and responsive to any queries. She met us at the apartment and took time to identify places to visit, advised us on restaurants, suggested excursions. Sorted out a taxi to take us back to the airport. Isabel made our trip completely hassle free. I haven’t even mentioned the beautiful studio apartment, immaculate, tastefully decorated, extremely comfy bed and pillows and of course the view of the Douro. Walking distance from the riverside bars and restaurants and also to the centre of Porto which is up hill but in a quiet residential street which was nice to come back to after exploring the busy streets of Porto.

A Marta foi super atenciosa na nossa estadia e o seu espaço é mesmo um recanto bonito, relaxante, limpo e que corresponde às ótimas expectativas que são criadas pelo anúncio. A localização é excelente, mesmo muito próxima da marginal de Vila do Conde. Foi um gosto ser hospedado pela Marta! A repetir sem dúvida!

My family had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed exploring Gaia and loved the view of Porto! Isa and Hugo were very quick to respond to our questions and helped with any problems we had. They were easy to communicate with and very kind. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We will remember our stay fondly!

This is a superb apartment. Small and cosy right in the centre of the old historic fishing village, on the river. There are loads of v good restaurants within a 1-2 min walk. Great cafe underneath. Marina 2 mins walk. It was great.

My wife and I live in Europe, are from the US and we have stayed over 95 Airbnbs around the world. This apartment is on the absolute best location. The best. The views are ideal. The host is responsive & professional. The proximity of the parking lot, to the apartment - is as good as it gets. Upon initial entry there was a bit of a challenge with the computerized entry system, but I think that was due to them letting me in an hour early. They resolved it very quickly. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. It also had very large bath towels. I definitely recommend it

Estuvimos 4 noches en el apartamento y cubre con creces todas las expectativas. Lugar muy tranquilo(con restaurantes en la misma calle) y próximo al Parque Nacional Peneda-Gerês Carlos e Alía siempre muy atentos a resolver cualquier duda

It is delighted that Sonia had tried her best to make our early check-in become possible. She welcomed us directly with a brief introduction of the accommodation. The house is clean and comfortable to all of us. Sónia’s place, located in Vila Nova da Gaia is a convenient location good to everywhere esp. it is walking distance to nearby sight-seeing place such as Jardim do Morro Hilltop park, Dom Luís I Bridge and Ribeira neighborhood etc. Fantastic views in both day and night could be viewed from both inside and outside of the house. Overall, good stay and will re-book Sonia’s house in the next time. Vincent

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la Casa Eira. Le logement correspondait parfaitement aux photos. L'environnement est calme et paisible. Idéal pour déconnecter et se reposer. Nous avons adoré. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs et viennent en aide au moindre souci. Nous recommandons et nous reviendrons.

Ganz besonderer Ort direkt am Douro. Wunderschöne Terrasse mit Pool, Liegen und Garten mit Obstbäumen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Rui, your host, was brilliant and as effervescent as a freshly poured flute of fine French champagne - so much so that one almost needs to lie down and rest after having a chat. He loves his tree house and is extremely proud of his construction. One of the nights of our stay they had the fiercest storm in nearly 20 years - 100 kph winds, slashing rain and intense lighting and thunder yet in the morning both we and the tree house was still in the tree - can't say much about sleep but what an experience. It is, indeed, a magical experience. If you are coming by rental car, and a stickler for detail, be aware that you must drive over gravel roads for a few kms, which for most rental cars is not covered in the contract but if you drive in a mature and rationale matter who will ever know. Like how many people can say that they actually resided in a tree house. Just do it.

Tive uma estadia maravilhosa nesta casa de pedra aconchegante. O ambiente é super tranquilo, ideal para quem busca descanso em meio à natureza, e a casa estava impecavelmente limpa e bem equipada. A anfitriã Célia foi extremamente simpática e atenciosa, nos recebeu com muita cordialidade e compartilhou ótimas dicas de passeios pela região. Além disso, esteve sempre disponível para qualquer suporte que precisássemos. Recomendo muito e com certeza voltaria!

óptima localização: proximo de terras de bouro, proxima do rio, local tranquilo. o anfitrião deixou bastante madeira o que permitiu acender lareira e aquecer a casa.

Gui has two houses for rent, in a nice, quiet, rural environment close to beautiful Ponte-de-Lima. She is very friendy and extremely helpful.

A piece of paradise. A beautiful location, tastfully decorated and a very kind and attentive host. Esmoriz and the surroundings are beautiful, I can highly recommend a stay here.
