Holiday rentals with a kayak in Hampton

The home was easy to find and very clean. We loved the beachfront and peaceful surroundings. We've been to Gloucester before and it is a cute little place to explore and has what you need. I would definitely choose this airbnb again if in the area! Thank you for sharing!

Great spot. Secluded back yard with plenty of seating. Amenities as described in the listing. Walkable to shops and dining. Donny was very responsive when I had a few questions. I would recommend checking out this home and Cape Charles.

Our family Thanksgiving was great! What a beautiful home with a breathtaking view of the water!! Just waking up each day with that beautiful sunrise over the water was wonderful to see. What a hidden gem! Everything you possibly have needed was provided in the home. The fireplace was very nice especially on those cold evenings! We can't wait to return! The house and the host were incredible. Immediately upon arriving, we felt at home and ready to relax. There are so many five star touches in this house --- every room has its own sound machine; there is a top notch massage chair in the living room; and there is ample space to get away while all being in the same home. Our kids were asking within the first hour if this could be the forever house. I am looking forward to booking this space again in the future!

Stayed here for a weekend fishing trip. Everything was great! Very serene and beautiful surroundings, the house fully equipped with everything you need to go fishing. We even went out of our comfort zone and tried out the canoes. It was an all-around good experience. The location is not too far from beaches great restaurants, and also a casino. For a small intimate family gathering. The Host sent an extensive and well thought out list of everything you can think of, from to how to get there & what to do when you’re there also he was very responsive.

This beautifully decorated cottage was everything we had hoped for. It was so peaceful and offered so much fun for our family.

This is the perfect home base to explore charming Cape Charles! The location simply can’t be beat - one block in one direction to the beach and one block in the other to the quaint downtown area with shops and restaurants. We never used the car once while there - such a nice change of pace! The house is also so roomy and comfortable, gets beautiful light, and is well stocked with everything you might need! We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch rocking chairs and watching the world go by. Highly recommend - will definitely come back!

We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay!! We loved the location (I mean bald eagles swooping over the water at sunrise kind of love) and our daughter loved exploring the beach with the shells. The house was just so thoughtfully stocked from the extra syrup to the little fire pit for the back. We felt right at home 🩷💚🩷💚

My husband and I spent a week at the beach cottage. The location is unbeatable, just steps to the beach. If you are not fond of the sand, you can sit in the porch and enjoy the view. You will not want to leave! The house was clean and exactly as pictured. Cecilio and his wife answered promptly all of my questions about places to eat and things to do. If you enjoy fishing, the Ocean View pier (longest in the State of Virginia) is just a half a mile walk from the house, or a short drive. You can rent fishing poles, buy bait, and feel like a local. You can also get some crab traps and get blue crabs. The pier has a restaurant with a nice view and a full bar. The beach right outside the house feels private. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good book. If you like water activities, the cottage has plenty of beach gear, including paddle boarding, and kayaks. We wanted to relax and reconnect, and this place was the perfect spot for us. Highly recommended.

Madeline & Michael’s place is great 👍 They’ve recently renovated everything inside and there was even more space than we expected. We thoroughly enjoyed the views, the back yard of sand, small path through the sand dune and access to the beach. Communication was great leading up to and throughout our stay. Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

Everything was wonderful, easy to get in, and our host John was very helpful and friendly. Hotub was clean no trash in the yards felt just like home. comfortable beds the walkway to the beach was very private enjoyed that as well. Overall our stay was amazing and would love to be able to stay there again. We had so much fun <3 provided us with some detergent to wash clothes I thought that was thoughtful.

Badria and Jay were exceptional hosts. They were extra communicative even when I had a very late arrival and checked in periodically to see how we were doing. We felt at home as soon as we got there. The place is gorgeous and perfectly located for amazing views at home and short distance to the beach. The cottage is well stocked and organized so it was easy to find everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying at Sea La Vie and being hosted by Badria and Jay!

This old log cabin school house, this was one of the most amazing experiences our family has ever had in an Airbnb. The history in this home is something like I’ve never witnessed before in my life. You can feel the love that has been poured into this unique stay. It felt like home with endless bonuses found throughout the home, carriage house and property. Richard was an incredible host and this was by far the most personable experience we have ever had in all our years using Airbnb. You can feel the peacefulness this place offers from the moment you turn onto the driveway. The sunsets are breathtaking and we saw deer, turkey and a ton of other wildlife daily. One night right after sunset my husband caught a 24” speckled trout! Our four children, ages 12, 9, 4 and 1, all had a blast. We brought a baby gate for the living room/kitchen doorways and it was perfect! Downtown Mathews is adorable and we loved the visitor center. Definitely check this place out if you have the opportunity ?

Our trip to The Half Shell Haven was great! The place was clean, extremely well stocked, and included many extras! We had crazy weather the first two days, but we had plenty to do at the house. My boys loved being on the water and the game room and my daughter loved the hot tub and bicycling. My daughters service dog enjoyed a nice reprieve and seemed so happy. We had a great time, and were honestly sad to go! If we find ourselves back up in Virginia we will definitely stay here! Thank you for the care and attention to detail to ensure a great trip!
