Metro, this modern English basement apt. with gas fireplace & high ceilings is a walkable spot to a gourmet grocery store, bars, restaurants, the Convention Center, and Chinatown. The home has exposed brick, Bosch appliances, heated bathroom floor--just 5 metro stops to the White House, the Mall and museums. The Shaw neighborhood is vibrant, constantly changing and full of diversity and young people. A great value with an experienced & DC-licensed host!

I am a nurse at a nearby hospital and felt uneasy staying in my home. He was responsive and generous, allowing me to extend several times while giving me a very affordable price. The apartment was a great home away from home for two months and had everything I needed in order to be comfortable. The fireplace was my favorite part— I spent a lot of time just reading in front of it which allowed me to escape the realities of a strange world around me. The upstairs neighbors were friendly and welcoming. The patio was also a wonderful added bonus! Even though most things were closed, the apartment was in a great location as well! I walked to the mall, Capitol Hill or Meridian Hill on my off days for some fresh air and exercise. I imagine this being the perfect location with all the restaurants and bars within several blocks. If I ever needed a place to stay in DC, this will without a doubt be my go-to Airbnb! I will recommend to all my out of town friends who visit DC!”
