The 'stork village' of Wahrenberg is situated right on the Elbe and offers an ideal location for enjoying nature and activities. There is no through traffic in Wahrenberg. In the garden, you can relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings. Cycling and canoeing are possible right on site or nearby, as well as swimming opportunities on the Elbe or at lakes. For day trips, options include the thermal baths in Bad Wilsnack, the beautiful Waldbad swimming pool, and the medieval towns in the surrounding area.

Birken Cottage – Holidays at the Herbsthausen Sawmill

Our three one-room apartments — Ahorn, Linde, and Birke — combine the historic charm of Herbsthausen with contemporary design. Each apartment is completely unique and has been modernized by us. They offer space for two to three people each. The apartments are part of “Herbsthausen”, an cultural project in the town of Gartow. We are renovating a historic sawmill and transforming it into a future-oriented place for art, industrial heritage, living, working, international exchange, and relaxation.

Unfortunately, our farm is not suitable for excessive parties. Our house was built around 1850. The residential house and barn of the listed three-sided farmstead are built with an oak timber frame. There are 10 wedding linden trees around the house. In November, when the lime trees have been pruned back, the house can be seen in all its splendour. From May onwards, it then slowly disappears behind the shade-providing foliage, and so remains wonderfully cool throughout the summer... 

Living in an old school

Es gibt keine Zentralheizung. Es gibt einen Heißluftofen, dieser ist ähnlich wie ein Kachelofen, gibt aber schnell mollige Wärme. Bei der Ankunft ist eingeheizt und die Wärme reicht meist bis zum nächsten Vormittag. Das anfeuern ist einfach! Entspannen, Ruhe genießen auch Stille in einer stilvollen Gästewohnung, sich wohlfühlen egal wie das Wetter ist. Ganz ruhig auf dem Land, hier gibt es keine Ablenkung, keine Geschäfte, kein Café, nichts. Willkommen in the Middle of Nüscht.

In nur zwei Gehminuten seid ihr am schönen Elbstrand oder dem Marktplatz mit kleinen Cafés und Stöbergeschäften. Mit der Fahrradfähre seid ihr in 5 Minuten auf der anderen Elbseite von wo aus euch ein angenehm befahrbarer Radweg immer den Fluss entlang führt. P.s. Our new, charming and lovingly furnished apartment is located in a former stable building of the old farm, just 700 m from the Nemitz Heath. The 60 sqm are divided into a kitchen, hallway, bathroom, a bedroom/living room and a beautiful wooden terrace - ideal for couples or solo travelers, suitable for a maximum of 3 people. Wallbox and bicycle shed are provided. On request, 1–2 horses can be accommodated (€20/night) – ideal for unforgettable star rides in great nature.

The former Bismarck estate house, built in 1770 and completely renovated in 2009, is an ideal place for vacations and also workation - for working and relaxing. The stylishly furnished separate apartment (155 sqm) with private entrance, underfloor heating, antique tiled stove, a workplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a hot tub next to the apartment's own terrace as well as a sauna cottage in the extensive park offers the possibility of a varied break in every season.

Our cosy holiday apartment in the small village of Bülitz in the Altmark region offers approximately 70 m² of space for 2–4 people. The maisonette extends over two floors and offers a peaceful location and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Old walls, exposed wooden beams, brick and clay plaster create a unique atmosphere and combine rustic charm with modern comforts such as underfloor heating and fibre-optic internet. We like to welcome you in our lovely renovated apartment.It has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom (ca 90qm) The center can be reached in 10min, Potsdam is 50min away, Berlin ca 90min. Just 300m from us you find the bus station, also near by is a super market, the Castle of Plaue and a park. We are right near the water, you are welcome to bring your kayak or a bike. It can be left in the yard, when not used. There is plenty of free parking on the street.

Dannenberg in the beautiful Wendland with beautiful cycling trails, forests and the nearby Elbe. Great outdoor pool nearby, good nearby shopping, sauna can be booked from September to the end of April. (€10 hour) On weekends only book both nights, no one-night booking. It's an apartment, Airbnb presents it as a tree house! Large staircase to the top, large apartment, large balcony - no shared use. For check-in, the door is open from 3 pm, the key is inside.
