Family-friendly holiday rentals in Hardyston

From the beginning Ting and Ning had excellent communication that made the booking experience at their rental extremely easy. My questions were answered in a timely manner and the instructions were clear. The home was beautiful and the comfort was so manageable that my guests and i were so sad for it to end. The fruit when we walked in was much needed because we were starving. The home was such a great experience and i would definitely book with Ting and Ning again. My children and I had a wonderful time! The unit was immaculate, the views were lovely, and there was plenty to do at the hotel. Paul was the best host! We had a car issue and had to extend our stay. He was polite, quick to respond, accommodating, and he took excellent care of us whenever we had any questions or concerns. We are looking forward to visiting again!

A hidden gem! This spot has a ton of character and the hosts are awesome! The lake and surrounding area is beautiful as well, with plenty to do for the outdoorsy type and cute shops and great restaurants within minutes. would highly recommend and hope to find time for a return trip!

Julie's place was the perfect winter getaway. The fireplace, hot tub and sauna warmed us and the very well-equipped kitchen enabled us to prepare great meals. The house was beautiful, with two living rooms for different activities and energy levels, a game room downstairs, a dining room with a large table and chairs, and comfortable furniture and beds throughout. Julie texted me to make sure that our every need was met. We had a snow and ice storm, and she had the driveway and walkways plowed, shoveled and sanded twice, and kept plenty of salt on-hand. We hope to return sometime in warmer weather so we can enjoy the pond, too.

This was such a nice space and Lisa was a nice and accommodating host. This place is full character and wonder. Very artistic color energy in this place. We started my daughter’s 18th birthday celebration here with what is her last sleepover with friends. The hot tub, steam room and sauna were the first things and last things used. If you're after something warm and cozy, this is your spot! It easily fits a family of four and comes with everything you need. The views around the cabin are stunning, and the outdoor space is perfect! there’s a hot Jacuzzi always ready, a fire pit, two chill sitting areas, a big deck, and a massive pool. really recommend!

Christopher is a really nice guy, he is answering fast and the instructions are pretty clear. The house is so nice to enjoy a calm time in the nature and take a rest.

Peter's place is THE perfect stay for a couple (plus dog) planning a visit to Rockland County. The cottage is extremely clean and incredibly cozy. The surroundings are beautiful, with the property well set back from the road and bordering Harriman State Park. Suffern and its restaurants aren't far and there's easy access to the Palisades Parkway to go anywhere else nearby. I grew up in the county and visit my parents on a regular basis. Any time I can't stay at their home, Peter's place will be my go-to from now on.

What a perfect place to stay! We were very comfortable in Hazel’s little retreat… we slept well in the king sized bed, had plenty of hot water, loved the bucolic green space and the creek nearby. Our dogs had great walks under the canopy of huge trees surrounding the property. I especially enjoyed watching and hearing the ducks, geese and swans across the street as they paddled to the pond! Thank you, Hunter for providing a perfect getaway spot for your guests!

Great location close to the airport. Very clean Airbnb. 2 balcony views in both bedrooms. Felt at home. Check in was very simple and the Airbnb was very easy to find. The price was very affordable and it was a great location with many amenities within a short drive. I would recommend others booking this location. Also! The bed was comfy with memory foam. Loved it. Three of my friends, and I were traveling to NY for the weekend. Even though this place is old, it has a lot of beds and plenty of space and amenities. We were comfortable and it was a great place to stay for our group or even larger. But the host, Brandon, made for the best experience. He had clear communication, and it was always accurate. I felt like he wanted us to have a good time and was supportive. I would definitely stay in one of Brandon’s units again. I highly recommend.

Really cute place. Comfortable beds and Sofas. The propane fire place was ideal. It was cold and icy when we stayed and we pretty much stayed in the whole time. It felt very warm and cozy. John was very responsive and helpful, he made the whole experience very easy for us.

A peaceful and private cabin! Surrounded by nature, lots of deer walking by and resting right outside our door. The space was cozy, yet roomy, and we really enjoyed the artwork and decor. The fireplace and the outdoor string lights made for a relaxing spot to spend the evening. Jesse was a great host, clear communication and friendly. We'd love to visit again!

Beautiful place and a great host

The house has many activities to play. We like boating, table tennis and playing vary sports at the recreation center. The location is close to everything. Owner is very responsive and friendly. We highly recommended the house.

My stay here has been made so comfortable, the local was perfect for my stay. Quiet and all supplies provided for our stay. Micaela is very responsive and I’m grateful to have found this cozy location right here in West Orange. Close to supermarkets, jitney to the train, movie theater, turtle back zoo and more. A great getaway for anyone who needs a break or home for a few weeks. Thank you Micaela.

Only down fall which is a perk security little rude not the owners fault. How was great Kids loved it only issue I could say which I will book again and communicate better it the driveway. A lot of rain and it froze. So it was bad getting into driveway. Next time I’ll ask about putting salt down. I was hesitant because it’s not my property and some people don’t like that but besides that great communication clean appliances and everyone loved their area

We had a lovely weekend at Claudine's. The property is serene. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. We also loved having the sauna. We wanted to grill, but propane was not included in the grill and incurred an extra cost or we had to bring our own tank. For the price and nature of the house, including something like this seems fair. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

Trish was an amazing host. Her home is beautiful and was such a wonderful experience. I can’t thank her enough for her help with a last minute booking and helping us out. I hope to come back sometime soon! It’s a dream house and property!

Beautiful area. The apartment was comfortable, modern, and enjoyable place to rest after a long day of sightseeing. Really enjoyed the heated floor in the bathroom. Our host was friendly and helpful with area attractions and places to eat. Would rent again.
