Cabin holiday rentals in Henshaw

This place really took us by surprise. We drove 5.5 hours each way, just to visit and our biggest regret was not booking longer! Worth every bit of the money and drive. The place was private and peaceful. Very safe and secure and very quiet so you can really enjoy yourself. Really feels like you have the whole place and surrounding areas to yourself! Utensils and appliances wise you could see Jane has real care and attention to detail, everything you could need or think of was provided. And that too of high quality not just your budget items. The bbq was a proper bbq which was a joy to use. The hot tub come with lighting and jets. Even the pots and pans were tefal! A lot of time and money has gone into it all. Garden was well lit also for those late evenings. Was lovely to meet Ben also. So much more to say but we won’t ruin all the delightful surprises! Very happy with the stay and we will be back for sure. Thank you! And see you next time.

we throughly enjoyed our stay here. excellent location. cabin was clean, homely and spacious! would stay here again. only downfall would be the jets on the hot tub could do with being updated as some of them never worked so we had to take it in turns. overall a fantastic stay!

this stay was perfect. the drive past Barnard castle is beautiful with loads of little cafes/pubs/shops ect in the village. On arrival it was super easy to check in and everything we needed was provided. host Julia was so friendly and responsive and made both me and my partner feel so welcome. will be back again!

Such a lovely spot for a family getaway. The patio looked out to woodland which was perfect for a secluded hot tub retreat. Location was great for tourist activities like Alnwick and Bamburgh, plus the zoo at the end of the road was awesome! The underfloor heating made the cabin toasty warm in what was a cold Feb half term!

What a lovely lodge set in large log cabin Park. The lodge itself was beautiful, very clean comfortable spacious and modern. The kitchen had everything you need inc a dishwasher washing machine/dryer and a full size American fridge. The welcome pack and wine was a nice touch and the hot tub stayed hot throughout our stay. There’s a woodland walk 50yrds from the lodge which was fantastic for our dogs. What a perfect getaway home from home and great value for money. Thank you Rebekah 🙂

Went on a couples trip with 8 people to Julia’s gorgeous place. Was everything and more we could’ve hoped for. The pictures do not do the view justice!!! Very clean and well equipped, was so memorable.

Noelle was lovely to deal with from start to finish. Everything was exactly as described and the hot tub was amazing. Noelle even went out her way to bring cooking oil we had forgot to bring. Would defo recommend and will be back x

Just back from Jack’s place after a 3 night stay. Lodge was in a great location, very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The area is fantastic for exploring and long dog walks. Although the site itself is quiet, the ski bar on site is popular and serves decent food. I certainly would recommend Jack’s place. Thanks for having us!

Lovely little lodge. Nice, quiet location. Marian was very friendly and communicated well. Clean and tidy. Lovely view from the decking area over the tarn.

Great cabin in beautiful grounds. It had everything we needed, an amazing shower, a great log burner with some logs available, everything we needed in the kitchen, comfortable beds and great outdoor areas to relax in. Hosts were warm, welcoming, very helpful and responsive to needs. Would definitely recommend!

We've just returned from a short stay at my happy hounds. Our glamping pod Hugo was absolutely perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed and was absolutely spotless considering these are dog friendly. The welcome pack was also a nice touch with all quality items. We have 2 dogs one that is very nervous, he settled in well as it was peaceful and private and having ample space for them to run and play at the pod and the secure dog fields, these are a great facility for anyone traveling with a dog. It's only a short drive to find local amenities and finding my happy hounds was easy with Google maps being accurate. The communication from Harry was excellent with plenty of information and help if needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and have already started talking of booking again for the future. Spot on! Exactly what was needed. Rachel was great with communication & couldn’t do more if needed. Logs were in abundance for the log burner which is rare 👌🏼 little problem with the hot water lagging but nothing to worry about, managed it ourselves but maybe mention to Rachel to see if there’s a knack to it. Still 5* ok everything, the views out back were 10/10 & we really enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend! Thanks again Rachel! 💙

Lovely clean caravan In beautiful peaceful surroundings. The caravan park itself only had around 5 caravans so nice and quiet, the donkeys were a welcome sight too! First ever Airbnb for all of us which went very smoothly so big thank you to Rachel for her advice (and the park warden who found my wallet and arranged to post it out for me!) Stayed to walk scafell pike which went very well. Big things!

This was the best place I’ve stayed in when visiting the Lake District. It was so peaceful and the cabin was immaculate. There’s lovely walks in the area and Windermere is a 15 minute drive away. I wouldn’t change anything about it and will definitely be returning!

Absolutely Lovely place to stay not far from lake Windermere or other local spots. Very peaceful the only noises are sheep & baby lambs for a morning alarm 😂 100% recommend!

Fell farm hideaway glamping pod was extremely clean, and beautiful place to stay, has everything you need and in a lovely peaceful location, the host was very helpful and friendly and responded to questions very promptly, I would highly recommend.

Evie's Lodge was an absolute delight, the view from the lounge is second to none, and we loved sitting out on the decking area when the sun was out. Donna's place is a real home from home and is equipped with everything you need! One of the best beds we have had in holiday accommodation and a brilliant, powerful shower. We would definitely recommend Evie's Lodge and we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Woodpeckers lodge. It was beautifully furnished, very well equipped and impeccably clean. Perfect for a nights stay. I would highly recommend!

Lovely cosy well equipped lodge for family of 4 & cocker spaniel. Lodge was clean & had a comfortable stay. Great location on site & lucky to have nice weather to sit out on decking. Good facilities on site & heated pool was fab. Short walk to Brockhole & good location for drive to Ambleside & Grasmere Would recommend. Thankyou

This place is amazing and all made even better by our amazing host, Jan. She made the week truly amazing and went above and beyond multiple times to ensure we had a great trip. The place is so beautiful and peaceful, just a great place to wind down and forget about the day to day stress of work life. Great amenities and we had everything we needed…and Jan was able to provide anything we didn’t have. Can’t recommend this place highly enough, we will definitely be returning!

Really clean and modern stay with stunning views, our puppy loved it too thank you very much!

This lodge was ideal for the four of us (two dads in their 60s and two sons in their 30s!). It was comfortable, clean, well equipped and in a beautiful and peaceful setting overlooking a stream with amazing views and several excellent walks from the site. The shop at the entrance to the site and the pub on the site are both worth a visit. We enjoyed visiting Ambleside which is only a short drive away and also Coniston where we walked up the Old Man, Ullswater and Aira Force waterfall. The Queens Head is only a short walk away and we had an excellent meal there. The only slight negative (which the owner had already drawn to our attention) was that the decking at the back overlooking the stream needs replacing as do the railings and fencing surrounding it and possibly also the garden furniture. In all other respects we would very much recommend this lodge.
