Torhaus in Kemel

Die offene Atelierwohnung im Torhaus ist Teil einer ausgebauten Hofreite aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Alte Hölzer und freigelegtes Fachwerk sind von Rosenstöcken und einem wunderschönen Garten umgeben. Beim Einrichten haben wir großen Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit gelegt. Bestehendes wurde auf- und umgearbeitet. Ein Großteil der Leuchten, Textilien sowie die Bilder stammen aus unserem Atelier. Dadurch bekommt die offene Architektur ihren besonderen Stil sowie den freundlichen und eigenen Charakter.

Modern living in the historic cowshed (Apartment No. 2)

Our listed barn has been shining in new splendor since 2018 and 2025: In May 2018, we started to expand four 1-room apartments, each with their own bathroom and kitchenette. Apartment 2 offers space for 2 people on about 25 square meters and is completely newly furnished (box spring beds, armchair, wardrobe, TV with DVD, fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom with toilet, washbasin and spacious shower). Look forward to: "Historical building structure meets modern furnishings!"

House on the wild Aar 16 people

Haus am Wilde Aar can accommodate up to 16 people. This vacation home is part of a half-timbered farmhouse from 1880 that was completely renovated and modernized in 2015. The vacation home has a large garden directly on the stream and is very suitable for families and friends with children. You can enjoy the tranquility and beautiful surroundings during your stay. Thanks to the spacious layout of the house, you can enjoy plenty of privacy and relax together.

The old shepherd's house with a bedtime sweet in the hay

"Bullerbü" in the head and "A bed in the cornfield" in the ear? Experience an unforgettable and cozy night in our historic 17th century shepherd's house. Either bedded on fragrant organic hay in the bed nook, - in the shepherd's room with two rustic cozy beds on an organic oat straw mattress, - or on the open and airy gallery, our "Ewerbude" on normal mattresses - you will spend a very original night! Each room can accommodate 2, a total of 6 people.

Michels Mühle - up de lütt Deel

The holiday apartment "Michels Mühle - up de lütt Deel" is located in Brilon, in a 600-year-old water mill that has been completely refurbished. It is the ideal accommodation for a relaxing getaway. The 2-storey property consists of a living room, a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom and can therefore accommodate 2 people. Additional amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi (suitable for video calls) as well as satellite TV.

The newly renovated 125 m² apartment not only impresses with its unique location directly on the Fulda in the North Hessian mountains. In the 400-year-old mill, this apartment was furnished with a lot of love. It has a modern open kitchen with adjoining living area, where a fireplace provides a pleasant atmosphere. In addition, in the apartment you will find two closed bedrooms and a newly renovated bathroom with sauna. Sustainable heating system

Köbelerhof - Stylishly furnished country apartment

The Köbelerhof is a paradise for nature lovers - as a former estate of the nearby Arnstein Monastery this farm is still actively managed and maintained today. Surrounded by its own fields and forests, the farm is located in the middle of the Nassau Nature Park. From the front door, you can take undisturbed walks for hours along the Dörsbach in the Jammertal or the Lahn, where you can relax at beautiful viewpoints over the valleys.

'IN THE HORSE STABLE' Door to door with chicken and horse

'IN THE STABLE' is located on the ground floor of the barn of the mill property. It used to be a stable.(Also check out my other apartment 'Barn Loft.') The room has low ceilings and small lattice windows. The room is suitable for people looking for a more cave-like, cozy retreat. Due to the oven and the cold floor, the apartment is not suitable for infants. In the cold season, it may be necessary to heat with the oven. See below.

VILLA CANTARE - music and comfort on 2 floors

Where to sing, settle down, bad people have no songs (Johann Gottfried Seume) Previously an old barn, today a cozy, extraordinary guest house with lots of music in the old walls! They occupy the entire villa over 2 floors. On the mezzanine, the large living room, where the old barn beams are still visible, dominates. At the same time kitchen, dining area, cozy Lümmelplatz with sofas, piano, smart TV and balcony.

Sheikh House "Living in a historic barn"

More than 20 years ago we bought the Scheiche House, a detached house in the beautiful Vogelsberg volcanic region. Formerly, the farmhouse consisted of a residential house, a stable and the barn. We have both worked in tourism and long run a holiday village. When we retired, we decided it was impossible without guests! We have always dreamed of renovating the old barn of our house – and now it was the right time.
