Torhaus in Kemel

Die offene Atelierwohnung im Torhaus ist Teil einer ausgebauten Hofreite aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Alte Hölzer und freigelegtes Fachwerk sind von Rosenstöcken und einem wunderschönen Garten umgeben. Beim Einrichten haben wir großen Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit gelegt. Bestehendes wurde auf- und umgearbeitet. Ein Großteil der Leuchten, Textilien sowie die Bilder stammen aus unserem Atelier. Dadurch bekommt die offene Architektur ihren besonderen Stil sowie den freundlichen und eigenen Charakter.

The location is an ideal starting point for visiting Kassel with its museums, parks, the Documenta and the fairs, but also to the half-timbered town of Melsungen, Lake Edersee or the animal parks in Knüllwald or Sababurg. From here you can take wonderful hikes in fantastic scenery. Whether as a romantic or simply cozy stay as a couple, with friends or with the family, this is the right accommodation on a beautiful farm complex with an idyllic garden.

"Bullerbü" in the head and "A bed in the cornfield" in the ear? Experience an unforgettable and cozy night in our historic 17th century shepherd's house. Either bedded on fragrant organic hay in the bed nook, - in the shepherd's room with two rustic cozy beds on an organic oat straw mattress, - or on the open and airy gallery, our "Ewerbude" on normal mattresses - you will spend a very original night! Each room can accommodate 2, a total of 6 people.

'IN THE HORSE STABLE' Door to door with chicken and horse

'IN THE STABLE' is located on the ground floor of the barn of the mill property. It used to be a stable.(Also check out my other apartment 'Barn Loft.') The room has low ceilings and small lattice windows. The room is suitable for people looking for a more cave-like, cozy retreat. Due to the oven and the cold floor, the apartment is not suitable for infants. In the cold season, it may be necessary to heat with the oven. See below.

Are you an old club of friends or a family looking for a place to stay that gives your revival a special ambiance? We offer you space for this. This listing includes 3 homes: Our converted barn, old forge, and fireplace room. We invite you to linger with us, recharge your batteries, to be creative. Here you can chop wood, dangle in the hammock, do yoga, play music, paint, cook together, grill and end the day by the campfire

Modern living in the historic cowshed (Apartment No. 2)

In 2018, we finished expanding four 1-room apartments, each with its own kitchenette and private bathroom. The apartment no. 2 advertised here is about 30 sqm and is equipped with 2 box spring beds, plus size duvets, fully equipped new kitchenette, wardrobe, TV, radio, 2 armchairs and bathroom with shower and toilet. A Nespresso machine is available for a good start to the day. Of course, there is free Wi-Fi and a car park.

Maisonette - Converted barn with loggia & veranda

For lovers of an extraordinary and cozy living atmosphere in a green idyll - yet close to the city - with shopping close by. The large country-style apartment on two floors is equipped with many amenities, suitable for relaxing on the large loggia on the upper floor or the covered veranda in the entrance area. But also hikes in the beautiful Hessian mountains, bike tours or boat tours on the Fulda are worthwhile.

Sheikh House "Living in a historic barn"

More than 20 years ago we bought the Scheiche House, a detached house in the beautiful Vogelsberg volcanic region. Formerly, the farmhouse consisted of a residential house, a stable and the barn. We have both worked in tourism and long run a holiday village. When we retired, we decided it was impossible without guests! We have always dreamed of renovating the old barn of our house – and now it was the right time.
