Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Heworth

We really enjoyed our short stay at the Cottage. We loved that it was a fully detached house surrounded by beautiful countryside. In the mornings we would watch the birds and squirrels with the supplied spotter scope and I would top up the bird feeders. The house was spotless and the kitchen was very well equipped - probably the most well-equipped kitchen we've even been to. We will definitely visit again :)

We had a 3 night stay as 2 families with small children. House was great, big space, great outdoor areas. The venue is clearly geared towards large parties, stag or hen perhaps which it is perfect for. For us as a young family it was a great base to use whilst exploring nearby York. Plenty to keep children entertained at the house. A great stay for our getaway

Yasin was very responsive and accommodating with the timings and the place was clean and well looked after.

Great communication and easy check in and out process! We didn’t spend much time at the cottage but it was great for what we needed with all the basic amenities!

We stayed at Alisha’s place for a local wedding and it was the perfect base for us. Lots of room for four of us to get ready and cosy and clean to come back to. Alisha was great at communicating if we had any questions.

Lovely quiet place in rural Yorkshire. Beautifully decorated house that made us all feel immediately at home. Lovely walks and nice Yorkshire villages to visit in the area.

We had a fab weekend! The house is clean and tidy, the beds are super comfy and the location is very peaceful and quiet. There’s a lovely little park, a cafe, a shop and a couple of pubs all within easy walking distance. We would absolutely recommend this property and would love to visit again in the future :-)

We had a wonderful stay at The Salt House Cottage! Beautiful home and beautiful location. We really enjoyed using the wood- burning stove, the bread and fresh eggs were great, and we got to meet the hosts’ sweet little dog.

Anna's farmhouse apartment was just as it was described and looked on the photos. Clean, tidy, plenty big enough for our family of 4. It had everything we needed for our short break in York. Perfect out of town location with off road parking included so we could leave the car there and journey into and out of York each day using the park and ride bus number 59 only 15 min each way, so easy! Comfortable beds, with crisp clean linen for a restful sleep at the end of each day. Would recommend to anyone visiting York.

What a fab stay we have had. The apartment was ideally located and easy to access. Free parking a real bonus too! Spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped home. We will definitely be looking to stay again! Thank you.

Our stay was perfect. The location is amazing, right in the heart of York and a short walk to York Minster, which we did every day to “check on her”! Eating places and pubs all close by and in the same street too. Just a wonderful experience in this beautiful medieval city. Highly recommend. And on a clear day you can see York Minster through the roof windows which was delightful.

We had an excellent stay at Wendy’s. The property was very quiet, clean and spacious and within close proximity to the town centre. Wendy is very friendly and accommodating and we would have been happy to stay for longer.

check in was smooth and easy. The only thing I would’ve liked was a washing machine, but everything else was perfect. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others visiting York!

This was the third time we stayed in Martin and Carmens lovely apartment while our son is studying at the university. It’s such a comfortable and well appointed place within easy reach of Leeds city centre but very quiet and peaceful.

I've stayed at this property several times, and it always lives up to my expectations. The property is always immaculately clean, and everything you could possibly need is provided. The location is ideal - just up the hill from the railway station, round the corner from the castle with its spectacular views, and only a very short walk from the River Nidd. The weather was very warm on my latest visit, but the property stayed lovely and cool - and I know from my visits in colder months that the heating works nicely when needed. The kitchen is really well appointed, with all appliances in perfect working order, and even an air fryer on my latest visit. There are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants only a short walk away, and the outdoor Knaresborough market takes place every Wednesday, complete with a Town Crier. I've already booked my next visit to stay here, which should give you some idea how much I like it!
