Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Higgins Lake

We loved our stay at this house. Great location right on the lake, beautiful views and the snow made it even better. The house was as described, clean and very comfortable. We skied 2 days at Schuss and this is a convenient location for that. The dogs had plenty of room to roam the house and were comfortable as well! We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was a very positive one. The hospitality of both the owners and managers was fantastic. Managers lived right across the street which was super convenient just in case they were needed. The home was well furnished, cutely decorated and it was very home like. We had an overall great experience!

Everything was as described. We really enjoyed the open layout. Wish the weather would have been nicer for us because we would have loved to use the grill and the fire pit, but to be expected for April. We had a dog with us and it was perfect for him to be outside, no real neighbors around. There is one you can see, but you would have to wander a bit through trees to even get to their land, so it felt quite private to us! We had a hiccup with checking in that was out of the host's control and Brandi communicated a lot and it was all figured out and made right!

Ryan was a great host. The place is situated on a beautiful river. Awesome stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was so nice and clean and very open inside. Had just about everything we needed for our two night stay. I can't say enough good things about the beautiful property. Loved walking the trail in the woods with our dogs. Wish we had more time, but would love to come back and stay in this home again. The property was exactly as pictured, I cooked all my meals at the house & the kitchen is stocked with any pot, pan or utensil you would need. I had a small mishap while at the house, and Amy was amazing to work with, she was responsive and very understanding. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area!

This was our second stay with Terry & we will definitely be back! He always goes above & beyond to make sure we have everything we need & is very communicative. Can’t recommend enough!

Not only was this peaceful gem just like the listing. BUT the record collection and books are AWESOME!!!! The pet friendly fenced in back yard was spacious and well lit for our Great Dane puppy to run a frolic to her little hearts content. Cant build build a fire?(even though there was ample wood supplied)?? There’s a gas table top fire.. don’t feel like going out??? I made a homemade breakfast pizza and had all the cooking utensils I needed… I felt soo at home and at peace. And enjoyed a trip to Petosky and POND HILL FARM and the tunnel of trees. I JUST need to know one thing??? How much is rent, and when can I move in??

It was a great stay, the house is close to the lake, couple of minutes walking, nice and peaceful surroundings. Clean and comfortable.

We loved our stay at "the cabin!" Lots of room and personalized space for those who wanted it. Good bathroom space and really appreciated the laundry and kitchen areas.

Just back from a 3 night stay at Hall's Haven and it was a perfect spot for our two families of 4, ages 7 thru 50! The welcome treats were such a nice added touch and much appreciated. Lots of space for kids and adults to spread out and plenty of toys and games for everyone. Lots of space for ski gear too! We loved having fires and cooking big meals together in the kitchen, which had everything we could possibly need. There was SO much snow and every window had a beautiful view of the snowy woods. Quiet, lovely neighborhood near the Lakeview Inn and just 5 minutes to Schuss Village for skiing. The sauna was an added luxury after a day of skiing! We had the best weekend together! we loved everything about this location. the decorations, fully equipped with every little thing you'd need, hot tub 🔥, sauna,🔥! Grumpy Bear is a retreat to remember!

Timothy was an excellent host. He was very responsive to my initial questions as someone who is newer to renting an AirBnB and was quick to help when I called about an issue with one of the smoke alarms on arrival (extremely minor, just a faulty battery, but I wanted to make sure to ask before deactivating it). Overall a nice place to stay, I would definitely return in the future!

Walk out basement to the few steps to get to the beach area. Well stocked kitchen. Recommend bringing your own water if desired ( well water I believe) . Beautiful sunsets. Game room was fun .. bring quarters to play though . Highly recommend

We have stayed at Timber Valley multiple times as a family and it is always a yearly highlight getaway for us. Kristi's place is very cozy and inviting especially being surrounded by the woods and nature. The house is the perfect size for our family of six and we have even had additional family stay with is in the past with more than enough room to accommodate our needs. Kristi is always responsive and helpful with any questions or concerns that come up. You can't go wrong with a stay at Timber Valley!

Marcus’s cabin was very clean, smelled good, very modest, but we had everything we needed and it was priced right. It was exactly what we needed for an enjoyable snowmobile trip. Thanks Markus

Probably the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. John and his wife were kind and quick to respond to our questions. While they live on the property, we did not see them at all during our stay. The water front makes it extremely enjoyable and the lake is quiet. They checked in with us and always made sure we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back to this rental, hopefully for longer next time!

This was absolutely beautiful! It great little getaway. It is not as secluded as I personally would have liked, you can see other accommodations from the porch. Even with that being the case it is fairly private. Luckily, we only over lapped on the last night. At night you can't see anything but stars and it is glorious. View from the wood fire hot tub is to die for, such a gem of a place! Would reccomend to anyone!!!

We had a wonderful stay the weekend of Feb 15th-17th. The house has a beautiful cabin feel and was spacious enough for 5 adults and 1 teenager. All the amenities you need. Great location for skiing at Shanty Creek (20min drive) and Boyne Mountain (30min drive). Definitely a lot of snow in Feb. and need 4x4 for driveway and driving in the area. Highly recommend staying here. Sue, property manager, is great, proactive in her communication and always responsive. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The host was very responsive to my questions and it was as described in the listing. It was very quiet and hardly anyone drove up & down the road :) The house was clean and had a kitchen with ample supply of dishes and utensils. The internet WiFi was plenty sufficient.
