Boutique hotel holiday rentals in Hilo

We were in Hilo for the marathon. Chris was thoughtful in how he designed and built this beach house and his partner contributed some beautiful design elements as well. Really, the pics do not do it justice. The inn feels very private and has a gated entry and the entire property is enclosed with beautiful fencing. Directly behind the inn is the Onekahakaha Beach Park, so out the back gate is just a few steps across a small portion of the park parking lot and you’re on the beach. The suites on that side of the inn have an oceanfront view. We had the garden view room and it was very peaceful and fun watching the variety of birds in the morning. It was nice to have air conditioning, as it starts getting muggy in March! Loved the shampoo and lotion!! Chris made check-in easy and told us interesting stories about Hawaii, things to do and the best restaurants. They offer pilates on Saturdays and salsa dancing sometimes, too! Thanks, Chris! We enjoyed our visit! ☺️

Absolute Gem!! This has to be one of the most cute cabins we’ve ever rented! The cabin is just perfect for 2, and is very well appointed. Gorgeous inside and the property around it is like a fairy tale filled with beautiful flowers, plants & trees. Let the rain tapping on the roof and the frogs serenade you to sleep. Perfectly located to allow you to explore the island during the day, come back for an early evening nap and get up to see the volcano lava flows at night! Amazing place and excellent host. Do not hesitate in booking this.

This was a perfect place for us to stay. Wonderful hosts, peaceful atmosphere, immaculately taken care of space, & very centrally located for all that we did. We had all the comforts that we needed. Always enjoyed coffee on the lanai in the morning, looking out at the beach area. Loved all the beautiful carved wood doors & the decor was amazing. Beautiful location. Walking distance to the local beaches. Very quiet. The onsite host was very helpful and responsive.

Susan's place was perfect for us while visiting Volcano park, less than a 10 minute drive away. The private room/bath of Airbnb is within a large home with multiple other Airbnb's W/access to shared lanai, living & dining rooms. Breakfast served daily (eggs, bacon, pancakes, juice, tea, coffee) the cook is delightful, shared suggestions about local attractions. Host was also very responsive and helpful. Property is surrounded by gardens, flowers. Locked gate at driveway for security. Tea, coffee, Non-hawaii residents should note: The location for multiple Airbnb's in this area are listed as in 'Volcano' but they are actually in 'Puna' in my opinion, a less desirable neighborhood. This Airbnb is in VOLCANO, a little community with old Hawaii charm, 30-40 mins from Hilo. Coffee, tea, honey, creamer provided in our private room, filtered water on lanai. Bonus-portable faux fire place for heating at night! Comfortable mattress, good quality down comforter/duvet, plenty pillows....CLEAN!

Nice place to stay, very close to the airport. Easy to find and easy check-in and out. Just stayed the night but was wonderful to sleep in a nice bed after a long flight that was nicely done up. One suggestion is to maybe get a area rug for the floor in the living room. Floor quite hard.

This place is a gem! Such a convenient location to Volcano National Park, which was the highlight of our trip! Pua is an excellent host! The unit was very clean and cozy! We hope to come back soon!

The place was beautiful and clean, it looked exactly like the pictures. It was nice to get away from the city and retire to a small town. Pretty much everything in town was closed for the two days we were there, but that was fine. The shared kitchen wasn’t a problem at all and it was nice to have yogurt and bagels in the morning before a day of hiking around. The location was a very quaint small strip of town, and it was quiet and peaceful at night. Cody sent clear instructions for checking in and check out, and we didn’t communicate much beyond that. Overall it was everything we needed and expected.

Had a great stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was responsive and made check-in super easy. Loved the location—close to everything but still quiet at night. Would definitely stay again!
