It is a 3-minute walk from Kanazawa's main tourist destinations, Higashi Chaya District and Shukecho Chaya District. The inn is located in an area where you can deeply feel the history and traditions of Kanazawa, with its traditional houses. The Kanazawa Tourist Bus stop is a 3-minute walk from the inn. Buses run every 15 minutes, and you can access tourist attractions such as Kenrokuen Garden and Omicho Market for a fare of 200 yen each way. Please use this accommodation as a base to enjoy sightseeing in Kanazawa efficiently. During the day, Higashi Chaya District and Shukei-cho Chaya District are crowded with tourists, but the number of people begins to decrease from dusk, and it is quiet at night. Noto cottage "Hinoki no ie" is a wooden house with Onsen (Hot spring). Surrounded by the nature of the Noto area, it's located right in-between of Kanazawa and Oku-Noto (about 1 hour by car which is recommended) making it convenient for sightseeing. You can relax in the living room, the tatami room or the cozy open space. The bath, made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) When you step into the bathroom your whole body is enveloped in the scent of the wood. The house is also very close to the ocean.

Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.
