This is one of the few remaining Shoin-zukuri-style, purely Japanese buildings in Hiroshima City, built 75 years ago, shortly after the war.One step from the main street, there is a small Japanese-style garden in a quiet environment where you can relax. Some of the items on display at the Dance House include a vase that partially melted due to the heat from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on 6 August 1945, as well as photographs from around 100 years ago. The fittings and glassware date back more than 70 years, and the two gardens, the irigata (raised floor area), and the study, in particular, capture the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house. At present, these items can only be obtained by placing an order with a select group of craftspeople. Of the five rooms, three are tatami-mat rooms; please sleep on the tatami mats with your futon on top at bedtime. For guests staying 2 nights or more, you can also add the "Tsumugi Retreat Plan", which offers a total plan during your stay to feel the spirit of Oshima. The accommodation is a completely independent private space within the house. The entrance, kitchen, bathroom and toilet are also private, so you can maintain your privacy. The host lives on the property, but the guest space is completely separate, so you can feel at ease. This is a wooden house built around 1954 (Showa 29). This building has been lovingly used, preserving the atmosphere of that time. As the property has undergone very little renovation, there may be some inconveniences, but we hope you will enjoy creating memories in Hiroshima while imagining life as it was at that time. The entire building will be rented out. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet.The other rooms are the landlord's storage spaces. The first floor is the guest bedroom. Guests can use the kitchen, so they can also prepare meals using items purchased from nearby supermarkets, etc. It is about a ten-minute walk to Heiwa Park, and there are also convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, so it is a very convenient location. It is the only property around Shin Onomichi Station. The house is a traditional Japanese house and you will be staying in the main house. Limited to one group per day, can accommodate up to 4 guests. Only one dog can stay with you (but it must be kept in a cage in the tatami room). It is close to the Shinkansen, so there is noise and vibration every time you pass.It may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to sound. (It's quiet because it doesn't run from 11:40 PM to 6:20 AM) If you are staying with a friend, you can have separate bedrooms.Or you can combine two single beds to make a double bed. Please let us know your requirements. Free parking is available below the guest house, but please be aware that it is difficult to access from the public road. Please also park your car within the white lines. Please be careful not to smoke.
