  • Eat Like A Local On A HK Food Tour
Learn about the history of food in Hong Kong, where it came from, how it was influenced by the Chinese and British settlement alike. This 4-hour tour will let you try many local delicacies across Hong Kong Island. We start the day with a traditional Dim Sum breakfast in an old tea house. We find ourselves transported back to a bygone era as we sample the most authentic Dim Sum available in HK. Next will be a Michelin guide recommended Wonton Noodle shop that is run by the 3rd generation of the same family. This local speciality is a simple dish but one that only a true master can perfect. We then take a tea break with a cup of Milk Tea, perhaps the most pervasive legacy of British rule, a beverage that Hong Kongers love! Taking the tram, we will visit another family-run restaurant, which dates back to the Qing Dynasty (pre-1900’s) where we sample the best BBQ Pork in Hong Kong, cooked in the traditional style, served with rice and homemade sauces. Another Michelin recommendation and a favourite of the late Anthony Bourdain. Our last stop will be at a bakery with a long history to try the Chinese take on the English egg tart. A personal favourite of former HK Gov. Chris Patten. Other things to note There is a lot of meat (mostly pork) and seafood (shrimp) in this tour. If you are unable to consume meat and seafood this tour is not suitable. Our walking tour includes hills and stairs.

  • Explore Hidden Alleyway Bars/Speakeasies
CURRENTLY RATED THE #1 AIRBNB BAR EXPERIENCES IN HONG KONG. Hong Kong seems to hold a competition for the most relaxed bar in Asia. First criteria: Be challenging to find. Forget all the popular touristy pub crawl sites. In these experiences, you'll discover the best-hidden laneway bars the city has to offer, As we'll be sneaking upstairs and downstairs into unmarked doors through alleyways and above establishments. THINGS TO KNOW - This isn't a budget "pub crawl" - you can drink a lot or a little, you choose. - Drinks aren't included in the experiences - but happy to give recommendations. - If booking for more than six people, we recommend doing this experience as a private group, available for HKD 100 more per person. Since we operate at 5 pm, the bar staff is a little less busy than usual, and that means you'll get a chance to interact with local mixologist, ask for custom orders, and get time to plan the rest of your night as you explore the '50s of great bars this city has to offer. All food and drink are at your own expense. Please advise me of any food allergies so I can accommodate you. Don't see a day/time that suits you? Drop me a message as I can often plan additional time Other things to note Read Hayley Overall reviews: ★★★★★ "Had a really good and inspiring time." - Niklas, From Sweden ★★★★★ "Hayley is def one of the best hosts in Airbnb Experience" - Tereza, From China

  • Michelin Star Kowloon food tour
Join me on a Michelin Star Kowloon tour. over the course of our tour, we will undertake an in-depth exploration of Kowloon, discovering Michelin rated street food, immersing ourselves in the local culture and learning about Kowloon’s history. We’ll cover everything from the past to the present, explaining Kowloon’s transformation through to the modern-day. We continue to Mong Kok, a district famous for its shopping, markets and glimmering neon lights as well as a centre of Triad (criminal gang) activity in HK. Here we will learn about organized crime, what is going on inside the masses of high rise buildings surrounding the markets. Prostitution, illegal gambling and subdivided living. Next, we will visit one of the most glamorous and expensive hotels, The Peninsula, with its own dark history. Our tour ends after 4 hrs at Tsim Sha Tsui where we discuss the history and development of the skyline just in time for the 8 pm light show! Other things to note Please wear comfortable shoes as we will be spending a lot of the day on our feet. You can expect to walk 5 miles or 8km during this tour.
