Enjoy peace and space in a stylishly converted garage in Bosch en Duin

Welcome to Bosch en Duin in our former garage/barn which has been converted into a very luxurious and stylish home as of 1 September 2016. Ideal for 2 people, but also suitable for a family with 2 children or 4 friends. The house is completely insulated and is heated by underfloor heating and a wood stove. Through a window as large as the garage doors and on the other side windows up to the ridge and 3 large skylights it is a lovely bright room with beautiful views of the garden and forest of a total of 2800m. The Garage consists of one large room with a wooden unit in the middle. On one side of the unit is a beautiful, complete kitchen with 4 burners/combi oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer integrated in a hard stone countertop. On the other hand, there is a small but tasteful shower (thermostatic tap), toilet and sink with automatic tap and illuminated anti-condensation mirror. The unit offers spacious wardrobes and drawers and a staircase to the top. On the unit there is a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00m with a lovely sheep wool duvet of 2.00 x 2.00 m. For loungers with fear of heights, there is a spacious and comfortable sofa in the sitting room that changes into a double bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m with one movement. Next to this spacious corner sofa there is another loom chair to slide close to the stove. In the dining area there is a spacious wooden table with 4 chairs. Through the drawings and ceramic images of our son, outsider artist Hannes, the space gets a very personal and cheerful look. The house has a private, private and wonderfully sheltered terrace with comfortable garden chairs with cushions. In the forest there is a bench to enjoy nature in peace or to read a book. Finally, there is a hammock for a delicious afternoon nap. The house has wifi, with which you can watch via our Ziggo connection to the existing Ipad TV, also radio. There is no flat screen TV. We have a dog of our own, but we don't want a dog in the garage. Guests can use the entire property, but also the terrace, the forest and the driveway to park their car. We will be present when the guests arrive and leave. We tell the guests about our house, the equipment and the environment. Smoking is not allowed in the house. We do not provide breakfast or other meals. Combine nature and culture in 'De Garage', on the estate Ter Wege in Bosch and Duin, surrounded by the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and a short distance from Utrecht and Amersfoort with their many museums, restaurants and other nightlife. Guests can use our bicycles. A bus stop is present at about 10 minutes walk. Of course, own transport is always easier and faster. The guests can always reach us by phone for questions.

On the edge of the forest you will find our B & B. It is less than 30 minutes by bike (10 minutes by car) from Utrecht. By Public transport or car you are within half an hour in Amsterdam. Facilities: - private bathroom with shower/toilet - 2 person boxspring - flat screen TV&WiFi - fridge, coffee/tea - 2 bikes to borrow Optional (€ 12,50 p.p.p.n.): Breakfast (mainly local products), served at the table in the guest house or on one of the terraces. Beautiful cottage with a nice wide view over the meadows. There is room for 2 adults and possibly 1 baby up to 1 year old. There is a camp bed for the baby. It is a wonderfully cozy cottage within walking distance of the bustling & picturesque center of Voorthuizen. Voorthuizen is the perfect gateway to the Veluwe because of its convenient location. A good base for many hiking and biking trails and there is plenty to do in the area.
