Monthly Rentals in Hunsonby

My partner and I stayed at Hilary and Peter’s cottage when attending a wedding nearby and we loved it! It’s a beautiful building set in a picturesque village and has been recently renovated to the highest standard. We only met Hilary (and the three dogs!) during our stay and she was the loveliest host who made us feel incredibly welcome and answered all of our questions about the local area to help us settle in as well as having a good old chat. The cottage was also fully stocked with breakfast food, coffee, tea and fresh milk which we really appreciated after an 8 hour drive! We only stayed for a couple of nights but we’ve already decided that we will try and make it back up to the cottage for a longer holiday soon!

We had such a lovely stay! The house was massive! Such a big space it felt better in person. The house was extremely clean with a modern kitchen, a cosy living room and a massive bed it was everything we wanted and more. The host were extremely helpful and friendly, it was lovely and quiet and I felt super safe staying there. It’s in a great location and I will definitely be returning!

Joe and Amanda were perfect hosts, and couldn't have made us any more welcome. The Cottage is beautifully comfortable, with everything we needed and more. The garden and grounds are beautiful, and we were additionally fortunate to have perfect late spring weather. Thank you, we will hopefully return for a longer break soon.

The Byre was the perfect, peaceful getaway to rest and recharge. The decor was beautiful and the welcome hamper was such a thoughtful touch. There was everything we needed to feel right at home, including an adjustable fence to make the garden secure for our two dogs, who also loved their stay. Great pub and cafe within walking distance, and scenic walks from the doorstep. We had a trip out to Penrith, Long Meg and a lovely walk in the grounds of Melmerby Hall.
