Japanese traditional house

ElmeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay with Miwa. Her son was responsive to messages, especially useful when we organised to have our bags forwarded and to change our plans slightly due to bad weather. When we arrived, Miwa gave us a warm welcome and took us on a a tour of the place. It was spotless clean and has a nice warm shower. As described, it is a traditional home, so perfect if you want to experience sleeping on a futon atop tatami mats. We visited the area to walk the Nakasendo Trail but on this particular day the weather was very wet and so we decided to rest for the day instead. The village on a Sunday is very quiet and many of the restaurants shut up shop early. Given the situation, Miwa took pity on us and brought us some lovely baked goods. We were made to feel very welcome and would recommend a stay here for anyone visiting the area.

japanese kominka from 1925, 3min walk from station

CobaltRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
It is a quaint old house that is surprising when you open the entrance. I was surprised to hear that the room was self renovated! The atmosphere and cleanliness of the old house were balanced, and I had a pleasant stay. Amenities such as shampoo and hair dryer, as well as plates, chopsticks, and kitchen can be used in a shared space, making it a great place to stay for a long time. The parking lot is narrow, but there is plenty of space to park, so I didn't worry about staying there. I would like to stay again when I visit this area. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Private villa with alpine view from the terrace

ErinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the perfect stay at Nagare with our pet dog. Great, quiet location with a picture perfect view of the Alps mountains. The house was super well designed and such a pleasure to spend time in. We enjoyed cooking dinner and appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was -- from pots and pans, utensils, to even small things like kitchen paper and cling film. The hosts were kind, responsive and lovely to meet in person. We (and this includes our dog) absolutely loved our stay and look forward to returning again.
