The apartment was as advertised. Very comfortable and clean overlooking a plaza. Easy city to walk. Catalina was very accommodating - we arrived early and asked for an early check and the answer was yes and she had Carmelito meet us (many hours before the standard check in). Highly recommend Catalina's place.

Wow! If you want to be right there in "it" in Otavalo, Santiago's is the place for you. The apt is right there just blocks away from the famous and famously fun Otavalo Market - except on Saturdays... Because on Saturdays the Market spills right on the street the apt sits. Early Saturday morning beginning around 5:30 from the deck I watched as the vendors worked to put up their stalls and organize their wares. You literally walk out of the apt, turn right and BOOM - you're in THE MARKET! The apt is nestled within the city skyline fully surrounded by the grand mountains of Ecuador-Cotacachi, Yanaurcu, Imbabura, and many more. I've seen reviews of it being noisy-yep, its just like living in a city. Its full of LIFE! From the apt, I hiked to Condor Park, Peguche Waterfall, Agato to learn about the Kichwan way of life and explored all the cultural richness within and around Otavalo. Sr Edwardo (papa de Santiago) is WONDERFUL (a BFF kind of guy) was immediately helpful with any needs.

Very cozy apartment, we felt right at home. We were fascinated by the tranquility of the place, an easily accessible area. Mile was attentive to our messages and provided us with information to make our purchases.

The place is cozy and surrounded by nature, it has several areas for fun and for the stay in general. It is ideal if you want to rest away from the noise of the city. The host is always attentive to making your stay pleasant.

Big spacious house for a very good price! We asked to drop off our luggage earlier, because we didn't have a car, and Tami let us check in earlier, that was very nice, thank you! We stayed here a week. Away from the city noise, but still not far from Otavalo. The Poncho plaza was 5-10 min by taxi. It was never a problem to catch taxi near the house. And there are two little shops just a minute away from the house where you can get everything you need for cooking and snacks. There are two sweet lovely dogs on the property that made us smile, and the view from the balcony on the Imambura volcano was just amazing. Thank you!

The house was humongous and very comfortable. The master bedroom and bath were wonderful to retire to after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. Fer was a wonderful host who made our stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable. I can’t say enough about the caretakers, Ernesto and Beatrice! They kept us comfortable and were available for our needs 24/7. And the house was always clean by the time we returned at the end of the day. If we ever return to visit Cotacachi, I know where we will be staying and I highly recommend that you stay here too!

The apartment is very comfortable and nice

Absolutely fantastic. We had a long term stay for 1 month at Casa Blanca with Pedro and the other hosts. As native English speakers, our Spanish was poor to non-existent, and they were super accommodating! On top of that, we had come to Ecuador to do an oath of silence between the three of us, and Pedro and the hosts made it an absolute joy and gave us all the comfort we needed. Any issues we had, were promptly fixed. They brought us treats, and went above and beyond in every instance. The staff were super friendly, and my god... The HOUSE! The house is absolutely gorgeous, even better than the pictures convey. Amazing views, peacocks on the property, puppies, absolutely lovely. Plus fruit trees readily at your disposal! If you're new to Ecuador, don't be alarmed by a lack of address. We received quick and in depth instructions on how to get to the place, and it's really close to the bus stop to both Mira and Ibarra. Best AirBNB any of us have ever stayed out. Bar none. A++.

Use the house with my family, who needs special conditions for health issues; seeing the comfort, space, tranquility and excellent attention from Martica we concluded that it was the best decision. The house is well located, it is beautiful, the view is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen equipped with everything you need. Thank you for everything and we will definitely come back .

The place is very nice, the photos do not show how cute it is and with many amenities. Quiet and private.
