Nice cottage of 90m² with loft in quiet surroundings, close to the fjord and a beautiful common area with a jetty in the summer months. There is no view of the water from the house. Everything is included in the price, electricity, water, towels, bed linen, tea towels, and basic foods such as oil, sugar and spices. The wood-burning stove is the main source of heating, there is electric heating in the bathroom, a little underfloor heating which is turned on when the electricity is cheap. The garden is completely undisturbed with room for games, sports and play.

During the season, Orø offers a number of cafes and restaurants, a cozy mini zoo, playground and child-friendly beach. The cottage is located on the edge of a small peaceful forest with birds and deer. Large lawn, surrounded by trees. Good for playing and playing ball. From the house, it is 5 minutes to the water on foot to your own beach and 5 minutes by car to Orø's best and child-friendly beach.

The house is 220 m2 of high quality living space i the danish countryside by Lake Gyrstinge in Central Zealand. 4 doublerooms, sleeping loft w. 2 single beds and 2 bathrooms, kitchen fully equiped for 10 persons, big living room. Completely furnished with all neccesary houshold utensils. The house holds a wood-fired sauna and a wilderness spa which guests can rent for an additional fee of DKK 1100 for the spa and 700 for the sauna. If you rent both items the cost is DKK 1500 for two days.

Directly to the Fjord

Our summerhouse is situated on a small island, Oroe, in Isefjord. It sits on a bluff, almost at the end of a gravel road, with direct access to the fjord from the house. We provide Danish traditional summer house-hygge in natural surroundings with a twist of modern facilities. The house is our private home, open for guests only 10-12 times a year. (=The original idea behind AirBnB) In general, we attempt to be as sustainable as possible i.e we always try to repair rather than to replace.

The house is a traditonal Danish countryside house, 20 km from Roskilde. Here you can enjoy the Danish “hygge”, with peace and nature that you’ll find nowhere else. Relax on the terrasse in the garden, walk in the woods or to Gershøj beach. Go biking on the “fjordsti” which follows Roskilde and Ise fjord, just 1.5 km from the house. Bikes can be borrowed here for free. In winter, you can make a fire. Breakfast and dinner can be arranged upon request and against fees.

Bring your fishing rod and waders and catch a fish in Roskilde fjord. If you want to go to town and shop, it's 15 minutes to cozy Frederikssund.
