Holiday rentals in Ishigaki

We had a wonderful stay at Ichiro and Yukko’s villa! From booking they were friendly and responsive, and provided extremely clear instructions and helpful local advice for the island. The villa itself was easy to find, and located at the end of a quiet street. It felt private and had wonderful views of the sea and surrounding mountains. There was only two of us, but there was plenty of space for a larger group. The villa was spotless, and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. It definitely helped to have a rental car to explore the island more, as the villa is about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport and not super close to many shops/places to eat (but there’s a delicious local soba shop only steps away - definitely try it!!). Ichiro and Yukko were great hosts and we would recommend this villa (and Ishigaki in general) to anyone! :-)

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans le logement de Yoshi : l’appartement était très fonctionnel et c’était parfait pour notre programme : visite de l’île en vélo ou marche à pied jusqu’au port pour prendre le ferry. Le logement était accueillant, propre et très mignon !

Where to begin! We had the most magical, rejuvenating stay with Chika and Rento. They are a special couple who bring a special energy to their place. We were greeted with welcome drinks and had a nice chat with Chika before we settled in. She was extremely accommodating and helped us feel comfortable. Fair warning - this stay is more akin to glamping, and you will bunk with some friendly critters but the beds were extremely comfortable and we slept like babies with the mosquito netting up. The room was also well air-conditioned and they gave us all the amenities we needed. We loved staying at a cafe, Chika is an amazing cook! We enjoyed farm fresh breakfast and cafe menu each day. Her place is very popular, but we only ever felt at peace and had our own quiet, private space to go back to if we needed it, but we always found ourselves wanting to enjoy the company. If you want to feel connected to nature and be steps away from the best beach, stay here. If you don’t, stick to a resort.

Tsukasa, and his wife Megu, are welcoming and kind hosts. My 9 and 6 year old boys felt so at home here, that they preferred it over our own home! It was great to be out of the main centre of Ishigaki in the community of Ibaruma. Besides having the beach a few steps from your door, just a few houses down you will find a local favourite cafe; they make great take out meals to enjoy the day at Ibaruma beach! The coral reef at this beach is great for all ages, safe for beginning swimmers to those who enjoy snorkelling and paddling around on a SUP. Our time here is/was an unforgettable experience for my family...and one we are planning to repeat next year and those that follow. If you see this spot available, I encourage you to book immediately...you won't regret it! Arigato gozaimasu Tsukasa and Megu!

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The host was incredibly kind, warm, and responsive, always quick to reply and resolve our issues. The house was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed. It is located in a peaceful, remote neighborhood, perfect for a relaxing stay. We would love to visit again!

Great family stay at Maiko and Patrick’ s place. Maiko was always very quick and helpful in communication and the house itself is great. We loved the private access to the beach and had a great time there. We cooked at home and also tried the barbecue, it was all very nice. We strongly recommend this place!
