Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Isle of Lewis

We had a truly wonderful stay at Stephen’s cottage. The location is stunning, right by the water with breathtaking views, and the house itself is warm, beautifully kept, and very well equipped. We were so comfortable and impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout the home. Stephen was a fantastic host that responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. It was a peaceful and memorable trip, and we’ll definitely stay here again next time we come to the Highlands. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing family trip during the Easter break 2025, stayed at Ian’s property Old Police House at Uig. Such a beautiful location, great view throughout the day.. stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our time. There plenty of hikes and amazing things to do near the property. The Rha falls, Duntulm castle, Rubiha view point hike was also about 20mins from here by car. Ian was a kind and considerate host, was super responsive at all times.

As mentioned before, Iain was immediately available when there was an issue with the checkin, helping us out just perfectly and from then on we experienced an undisturbed vacation time — sometimes friendly dog visits from next door and star-gazing moments from the bed included, so everything was splendid. :-)

Incredible stay here! The home was lovely, the views were gorgeous, the location was perfect for all of the walks and stops we wanted to make on the island! we had a great stay! Our hosts were really helpful, taking the luggage inside while I was unloading the car, and even helping me to fix a car issue I had! the house has a beautiful view, the kitchen is well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. for the children. there were also a lot of toys, books, and a high chair and travel cot. So they had everything they needed. We even received wine and cookies, which was very attentive. A small downside is the driveway, which is tricky to climb, being steep and with a bend as well as being paved with gravel. With our minivan I also had a flat tire going down the driveway, because I hit a shale rock on the side. We could park on the other side of the road after that, so if you don't feel confident going up, maybe you can ask if you can park there as well. all in all great experience!

The apartment was great! It was clean, very comfortable and well laid out, walking proximity to downtown was incredible, and communication with Etta was quick and informative. She was very accommodating and hospitable. We would stay again and recommend to friends!

What a lovely place! Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect spot to unwind and disconnect. The views from every window were stunning, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax. The property itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sarah was kind and responsive, making the whole experience smooth and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and her warm hospitality really stood out. We’d love to return.

We stayed 4 nights during HebCelt. The apartment is in a perfect location with everything in walking distance. There is ample parking available and everything that you could possibly wish for in the apartment. Everything was extremely clear, WiFi was fast. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Graham was an excellent host to the point where he left food items he thought would be useful (thank you!) The flat was very comfortable and has everything needed for a stay. The location of the flat is just outside the main town centre but is easy to get to. It's also excellent for arrival by ferry or plane.
