Richard was a wonderful host and we had the best time at the Byre. It’s a beautiful cottage with all the amenities you could ask for. Perfect for a trip to the Lake District and surrounding villages. The views from the cottage of the North Pennines are beautiful. Richard was there to greet us on arrival and gave us recommendations for the area. We had a wonderful time and couldn’t recommend it enough!

One of the best AirB&B ever and matches the name “Retreat” for a relaxed holiday. I always love pure white decor and the place is spotlessly clean. We had complete privacy and tranquility of the countryside. Everything is well-provided as a home away from home. Loved the aroma fragrance as soon as walked in and little things for kids to enjoy: board games, kids TVs and the private garden is just amazing. Judy is super responsive and just a message away via the AirB&B chat. Definitely recommend this place and looking forward to coming back soon.

A very comfortable stay in a characterful property. There was everything we needed and we loved the upside down layout. Caldbeck is a lovely spot with a very good pub. Ian and Carol communicated very well with us.
