For those looking for peace and quiet, this is the ideal destination! In the middle of the beautiful Cretan nature, and yet close to the nice hippie town of Matala, but also within driving distance of the mountains and other beautiful locations. Those who brave the steep road up to the property will be rewarded with amazing mountain and sea views. Kitsa was the ideal hostess we could always go to. This house is also fine for longer stays: Kitsa offered extra services such as fresh sheets, towels, an extra cleaning moment and maintenance of the swimming pool. In full summer it will be nice to stay on the edge of and in the water, but at the beginning of April it is still a bit too cold. Extra: there were nice local welcome treats. We were able to enjoy the well-equipped house, the beautiful terrace, the sheep in the distance, the beautiful sunsets and especially the tranquility! Highly recommended in the south of Crete!

Absolutely perfect stay – highly recommended! Our stay at Marina and Savas’ villa in Skouloufia was simply amazing. The villa is absolutely beautiful, fully equipped, and thoughtfully designed down to the last detail. You can really tell that everything was created with care and love. Marina and Savas are outstanding hosts — always responsive, kind, and genuinely committed to making your stay perfect. Even after we checked out and moved to a hotel near the airport, they continued to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, private getaway that still offers easy access to all of Rethymno’s highlights. Truly an unforgettable experience! :) we will absolutely come back

We had a great time in this house, everything was perfect. The house is very spacious, well appointed, very well-equipped and the sea view is absolutely beautiful.

The design with Moroccan and Greek style elements created a very special feel-good oasis. Very friendly welcome with finger food and other attentions despite late arrival. Great location off the beaten track.

Great villa perched up on a hillside, with stunning sea view. You definitely need a hire car as nothing much within walking distance but this was clear when we booked. Three lovely bedrooms, 2 en-suite. The outdoor kitchen is a really good feature. Friendly host who was flexible with check in and out times. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Our best experience at AirBnB so far. We spent 8 days in October at this really great place and absolutely enjoyed it. Location is exceptional. You can look at the small village of Sivas with a great selection of tavernas, in the background the mountains and the sea. The place was absolutely fantastic. New appliances, everything clean, enough towels and bath towels, great layout and perfect for us as a small family with one child. As a welcome, there was a basket of local food and drinks in the fridge. In the area there are a few very nice villages to visit and two beautiful beaches are also very easy to reach. The communication with Artemisia was simply perfect. All requests were responded to immediately. There were recommendations for the area and they even organized a crib and a baby towel for free for us. Don't be surprised by the few reviews, the place is 3 months old.

Absolutely stunning place. Sparkling clean, very well equipped, beautiful views, short distance to sites, beaches etc. Simply an amazing experience. All you need for a luxurious holiday in the best wine region in Greece!

Wonderfully relaxing family holiday spent at Georgio’s place. We had a warm welcome and send off and George was always available when we needed him, at the same time also very respectful of our privacy. Local restaurants served good traditional food. The port was accessible by bus service and about €15 for taxi to Rethymno Port, although in my opinion should be considered if you are staying with young children or elderly, and so would consider hire car if you wish to explore local area. The villa’s pool was very clean and welcoming in the hot sun, and we all enjoyed the sweet and savoury treats that were baked and left for us during our stay, amazing! Overall we had a fantastic break and highly recommend a stay in Villa Rogdia.

Fantastic villa with beautiful pool and view. Downstairs at the sea you can watch nice snorkeling and fishing thanks to the super clear water. We and our kids enjoyed it. First village is 30 minutes drive so provide plenty of groceries.

Wonderful stay if you are looking for an amazing and well equiped house in the countryside!

Giorgos was a great host. Flexible with our demands and very responsive whenever we had any issues. For example, we had a hot water problem, which he resolved quickly after we informed him. The villa is very beautiful with a 360 view of Heraklion and the surrounding area. It has a great living room space for social gatherings, outside tables for dining and a grill. The kitchen was also well equipped with a large fridge+freezer, dish washer, microwave oven and gas hobs. The gym was well equipped and the swimming pool water was very clean. There was a washing machine with a lot of drying space. Several of the rooms have private bathrooms. The villa was not easily reachable by foot but that is the case for most places on Crete. It had however plenty of parking space and remotely operated gates. We didn't try the jacuzzi so can't comment on that and the piano was locked. Overall our stay was amazing, we're very happy and would recommend Giorgos as a host :)

The owners were great always on hand and responded very quickly - they arranged car hire and food delivery for our arrival. Would highly recommend this property especially if you like it private - it’s a great location to travel around due to close proximity to main roads to explore along the coast or go down to the south of the island. Would recommend you hire a vehicle, there is a Lidl 5 mins away and the main town is just around 10 mins. This would be ideal for family with older children as there is a great pool and plenty of activities ie pool table / table tennis table. The property was extremely clean with plenty of towels and lovely basket with some fruit / wine on arrival - great hosts and property….

We loved our 1 week stay at Sunset Villa! The location is perfect. Private with amazing views, but still close enough to restaurants and shops. Rethymno is a short drive away. The villa was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The outdoor space is particularly special with a large pool, nice seating areas, and great views from the roof terrace. Ibrahim and Karima were great hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Ibrahim was in regular contact with us after booking and waited up late for our arrival at the villa. He even provided eggs, milk, butter, bread, and fruit for us which was such a nice surprise! We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Crete.

Really magical place. Just a stone's throw from the village center. The place was comfy, well thought out, clean, the views were amazing and Monica was very kind and flexible. I would absolutely recommend this place :)

Lovely place to stay, we loved it!!! Anastasia was quick to respond and very friendly. I would stay here again on my next visit. make sure you eat at the tavern at the end of the street if staying, great food and drinks!

The place is exactly as shown in the pictures. Theodoros is a very good host, always very friendly and always available. He sent us some restaurants and shopping opportunities right after our arrival. Our check-in and check-out was flexible and could be adjusted to our flight times by arrangement. All in all, we felt very welcome and well taken care of from day 1! I can recommend Theodoros' villa to anyone who wants to have a nice vacation in Crete without hesitation!

We stayed at Villa Harmony for one week in April. Beautiful spacious villa with large pool. A food basket was provided so there was no need to rush out to a shop on arrival. All the internal equipment in the kitchen and elsewhere is high quality and new. There was even a selection of toys for the little ones. Absolutely perfect.

I warmly thank the owners for their welcome, their kindness, and thank you for the surprise during the Last barbecue evening. thank you and we look forward to seeing each other again. amel
