Kandy Holiday is an incredible place to stay if you want to experience nature at its best. Perched on a small hilltop and surrounded by lush forests, the location feels peaceful and refreshing. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and exceptionally comfortable. The highlight for me was the spacious terrace where you can relax and take in the beautiful scenery. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful. When we couldn’t locate the house, a quick call to the owner solved everything—he was so accommodating. His wife was equally wonderful; she thoughtfully prepared us a takeaway breakfast when we had to leave at 5 AM for Sigiriya. It was truly a delightful experience, and I’d highly recommend Kandy Holiday to anyone looking for a serene and welcoming place to stay!

Beautiful place just few kms before the city centre. Host is always available and Sameera at the property is super sweet. Makes available whatever u want for breakfast and that too complimentary. They also gifted us some souvenirs which was very heart warming. If u are looking for comfortable, luxurious, peaceful stay then just book it

We had an incredibly relaxed and satisfying stay at Rajiv’s place. It’s hard to believe this charming bungalow is 144 years old, thanks to Rajiv’s meticulous upkeep while preserving its colonial charm in every corner. Ideally located in Nuwara Eliya, it’s a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind. The hospitality was exceptional—caretakers Lasantha, Pradeep, and the team went above and beyond, from welcoming us with tea to preparing amazing dinners. They even let me join in and cook, which I thoroughly enjoyed! A special thanks to Rajiv for personally staying an extra hour to greet us and give us a tour of the property before leaving. Highly recommend this beautiful place for an unforgettable getaway!

A quiet and spacious place close to the market and town center, with some pleasantly friendly (not overfriendly) dogs in the lovely garden. Food delivery is available and groceries are a short walking distance away. Internet was patchy. The washing machine was useful. Overall, a lovely bnb.

Everything was as described. This spacious, clean and well equipped apartment is in a very good neighbourhood. The family were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They even supplied tea and washing powder. Great value. I would highly recommend this place.

Sanjaya and his family were as friendly as the apartment was comfortable (very). Particular highlight was the balcony overlooking the Kandy valley - spent many a happy moment observing bustling life from up high. Would happily stay with Sanjaya again.

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.

5 minutes from Kandy city center you can enjoy a quiet place and a beautiful garden. The hosts are very welcoming and offered us small gifts. Perfect.

Staying at Muditha's place was wonderful. The apartment is a little outside of the city center but can easily be reached by Tuktuk. There are a few local markets nearby, we found a grocery store and a local bakery with tasty snacks that can easily be reached by foot. It is surrounded by small temples and lots of greenery, which makes it a good location for peacefull strolls around the neighbourhood. The apartment is very spacious and clean. There is no AC but there are fans in the bedrooms and since the location is a bit higher up, it's not too hot at night. The hosts were very honest and warm people. They gave us privacy but answered within minutes if we ever had a request. They even showed us their garden and let us say hello to the chickens 🥰 They helped us with our every need and even made sure we got on the local bus safely on the day of our departure. I would definitely recommend staying at this place if you are spending a few nights in Kandy!

We spend 3 nights in Hansi's wonderful house. Unfortunately it we did not try the food provided by Siryia as we used to eat dinner in the city. We travelled a lot and the time spends in traveling takse a lot of time in Sri Lanka, but I really belive it is worth to reccommend:). Matale is perfect place if you intend to visit the attractions close to Kandy such as Dambulla and Kandy Temples, Sygiria or Pinnawella, and afterthat rest in the calm place. The house itself is really comfortable and the addapters in every sockets were a nice surprise. Each room has an AC so the whether outside doesn't matter. Communication with Hansi was perfect and Siryia who were our host at the property helped us a lot with the common cases eg. communication with the drivers etc.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, somewhat remote, villa with amazing surroundings. We walked down to the river, did yoga on the patio and had Ayurvedic treatments next door. The owner is a charming person with a beautiful vision for the place. He was very friendly and took time out to show us around the garden and let us try fresh herbs and spices. I would recommend to have a car so that you can get to Kandy and visit all beautiful and inspiring sights the area has to offer.

We were a group of 19 people of which 11 children and we all had a great time. The big house is stylish and comfortable, in a very natural and quiet environment, surrounded by forest, hills and tea plantations. Great staff, very welcoming and helping, and excellent food !

It is really amazing relaxing place far from noisy road. The room with full-length windows is amazing! View of the jungle and rice field. Also the room was clean and all we need was there. Pool is nice! The host Sakula is very attentive and caring! You can contact him with any questions. He is also interesting person to talk with. His family and staff are very kind too! So we felt like home! I would like to recommend Sakula’s place everybody!

Large house with character and breathtaking views like on the pictures. The house is on an annex just outside the city, so we usually drove with the tuktuk. There is no air conditioning, but since it cools a little in the evening, we did not need air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable and clean. We would have liked the kitchen, especially the dishes, to have been cleaner. We didn't use the small pool because it wasn't cleaned. The views from the deck were phenomenal! We were two women traveling alone and felt very safe there. In particular, the direct local neighbors were super friendly and gave us jackfruit. Thank you for the great stay!

Our stay at Somaland was an incredible experience! We were treated like royalty yet felt completely relaxed and like at home. The colonial mansion is very beautiful. Impeccably preserved and kept, luxurious and comfortable, it’s huge and full of exquisite furnishings. Such a rare opportunity to be able to stay in such a magnificent residence with such history, surrounded by peaceful gardens and lush landscape. Our trip was only enhanced by the divine attention and service of Nilani and Gamage. They welcomed us into the home and looked after us like special family members. So thoughtful and kind and fun.
