If you're looking for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace of nature, this is just for you. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

Ranta-Mäntylä

Welcome to relax in the embrace of the forest! Ranta-Mäntylä is located on the shore of a beautiful lake full of fish (Kallavesi), in the midst of nature, in the courtyard of our home, only a 25-minute drive from the towns of Kuopio and Leppävirta. The property includes two buildings. The heated cottage comfortably accommodates two people. In the summer, the sleeping shed has sleeping places for two. Guests have access to a barbecue, a paddle board and a rowing boat. There is an additional charge for using the hot tub. Please book the hot tub in advance.

Log cabin on the shore of a quiet lake

This traditional log cabin offers a peaceful hideaway right on the lake shore. Hand-carved from thick logs, the cottage exudes peace. The cabin has a high living room, a reserved fireplace, a kitchen, a spacious wood-burning sauna with benches and a shower, a dressing room, a toilet, a sleeping loft and a bedroom, a covered porch and a separate sauna for post-sauna cooling. In summer, the special feature of the place is the tinkling of the cowbell on the adjacent, fenced forest pasture when a small herd arrives at the beach to drink.

Detached house in the countryside

A peaceful detached house in the countryside where you can stay comfortably during your trip or for a longer period. It is about 17 km to the centre of Heinävesi. There you will find shops and other services. The accommodation has two double beds, one of which can be shared. Bed linens and towels are included. The area offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and exercise in nature. The spacious yard can also easily accommodate a lorry, for example It is possible to rent the hot tub for stays of at least two nights.

Cottage 55m² and new 30m² yard building as well as a large terrace and barbecue area on the beach. Air heat pump and fireplace in use. Close to good fishing, berry picking, and outdoor terrain. Kuopio 35 km, Riistavesi 10 km. The renter has access to a paddleboard and a rowing boat, as well as a Wi-Fi connection. If necessary, linen/towel rental 10€/person, final cleaning 80€ extra. The price includes the use of the hot tub.

Hand-carved 100m2 log cabin on the shores of Lake Saimaa, completed in 1995. A peaceful environment just a few minutes' drive from the services of Varkaus city centre. The place is well suited for a weekend of relaxation as well as a longer stay. Basic amenities and cooking equipment. The cottage has a very spacious wood-fired sauna. The hut in the yard and the barbecue shed are freely available. The cottage is suitable for year-round living, but in the middle of winter it is worth booking wool socks for the trip :)

This oasis of relaxation is a magnificent, unique architectural ensemble at the tip of the peninsula, with room to breathe and relax. The cottage is located by the clean Suvasvesi. Next to the main cottage, there is a summer sleeping cabin with stunning panoramic lake views. Large windows bring nature indoors everywhere! A huge terrace area connects the main cottage, the sleeping quarters and the pier complex with the jacuzzis on the beach and the lake surrounds everywhere. It's good to be here :).

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Grandma's cottage with sauna

A 100-year-old log cabin with amenities in the courtyard of the main house for year-round living. For guests staying several nights during the heating season, in addition to electricity, there is oven heating. Wood is ready, guidance or heating if needed. Good road connections. Outokumpu is about 10 minutes away and Joensuu is about 30 minutes away. Koli is about an hour away and Valamo Monastery is about 30 minutes away by car. In addition, there is a dog cage outside with a small hut.

The cottage also has a small rowboat and a paddle board. Note: Well water has not yet been tested, so bring drinking water with you
