Forest Floor Guesthouse

The lower level of our Jewel Lake Home with a separate entry, and fun backyard. This is a recent remodel; an eclectic space with vintage wood ceilings and a blend of industrial+ modern detailing. We are 5 minute drive from the airport, and guests can enjoy Alaskan wilderness right from this space. A forested trail system lies right behind our house for walking and biking. Guests may collect eggs from our chickens, use our forest-side hot tub, stoke the firepit, or use paddle boards at Sand Lake.

Sea Suite on the Homer Spit

Sea Suite has two bedrooms with a 180 degree view of Kachemak Bay on the Homer Spit. The suite is located on a boardwalk where the waves roll underneath you on the high tide. From the deck, you can watch seals & sea otters play and other critters swim by. The suite has a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, hotplate, coffee maker, and tea kettle. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed. The Homer Shores Boardwalk is home to a candy shop, ice cream shop, restaurants, gift shops and more.

We aim for you to feel as though you’re visiting family. The property features a spacious yard with a swing set & sandbox for kids. Pat may greet you on arrival & is always happy to share his love of Alaska & local insights. Guests enjoy fast Wi-Fi, convenient laundry access, & the chance to see local wildlife right outside the back door — moose (often with calves), ravens, Steller’s jays, squirrels, & on rare occasions, a bear. Your private “sweet" is through the home's shared entry. The house is 5.1 miles from ANC airport (13 min by car or approx $20-$22 Uber/Lyft/taxi). Fred Meyer grocery is .7 mile away (15 min walk); Costco is 1.7 miles. Behind your interior “front door” is your Queen bed; TV room; kitchenette; and bathroom with tiled walk-in shower and the best backside feature ever: heated bidet toilet. I live and work upstairs. There's plenty of space for all.

Close to town, 1 mile on East End Rd. Private residence, the 1 bedroom furnished apt. is all yours. Private parking, full kitchen and bath. Mountain view. There is extra sleeping area available in the living room, extending the sofa. All extras provided for a fee of $40.00 per extra guests. Note the added sleeping area is in the living room You will make the bed up yourself.

Charming southside mother in law studio. South facing windows shaded with trees offers just enough privacy yet lets dappled light come through. Private entrance includes an outside seating area for morning coffee. Inside provides many amenities to make your stay comfortable. Please, no scented candles or incense as the upstairs tenant is extremely allergic.
