Holiday rentals with a kayak in Kent County

My family and I loved spending a long weekend at Susan's cozy, tasteful place on the water. The location is especially private and peaceful and we particularly enjoyed the screened porch and fire pit / hammock area.

We had a great time! My family decided to book this place for a little thanksgiving getaway. Although it was cold and could not enjoy the area as much, the view from the house is incredible!! Waking up to that view was so peaceful. I would imagine during the summer and spring is breath taking.

Fantastic beach getaway. The home was clean and comfortable with extra room even bigger than the pictures. The views were spectacular and the deck actually is accessible from so many places. The directions for keyless entry were clear, but when I wasn’t understanding them the hosts responded immediately and we got in within moments. Comfortable beds and plenty of things in the kitchen - can opener, coffee maker and wine opener as well as things like cutting board and baking sheets. Fridge is huge and there’s tons of ice. Definitely would recommend.

Comfortable, very clean cottage in a great location. Has everything you need to cook meals, just bring your food and seasonings. Walking the beach every morning and evening was wonderful. We only used one bed and it was very comfortable. We had one rain day at the cottage it was a great place to hang and read our books. Birding right from the deck. One morning we watched a couple of eagles fight over a horseshoe crab and a blue heron visited every morning on the beach. Incredible sunrises!

House and property are immaculate. Hosts have done an amazing job bringing this property back to all its glory. House has everything you could ask for and move, would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to return!

Such a cool place to visit if you’re in the area. It was walkable to the beach and a small wharf with great food and ice cream. Tara’s place is fully stocked and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was only 10 minutes from the Delaware Sports Complex which was a huge plus! We would definitely stay here again.

House is lovely, properly advertised and fit our needs exceptionally well Bedrooms were big, beds were super comfortable Main living area was very nice with a large farmhouse table for family meals. Beautifully decorated Kitchen well stocked with plates, utensils, pots & pans, etc. Hot water supply was really good!!! Great views of the bay and sunset Nice touches with a number of things including the welcome six pack and shower soap, shampoo, conditioner Owners were great with communication. Broadkill is a little gem that gives a taste of OBX without the drive. Nearby towns of Lewes and Rehoboth are great for shopping. Rookery golf is very close! Wonderful place to go which makes one feel like you have gotten "away from it all." Highly recommend this area and this home! It was perfect for our family Thanksgiving. We'd rent there again in a minute.

Wonderful home for a beach get a way!! Beautiful views all around! Well equipped isn’t the word for it! You can tell this is their home away from home & they are sharing that with others! Would definitely recommend the Pink Firehouse & would rent again! Joanie & Mike were more than hospitable!
