Holiday rentals with a kayak in Kentucky

The house was perfect for our family reunion, and Teresea and Tim are incredibly kind and helpful hosts. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to fix all our meals, the living area has comfortable furniture for a crowd to hang out together, and it was great to have so many main floor bedrooms with their own bathroom. We loved sitting out on the deck, and the view of the lake was even better than I'd expected from the photos. We highly recommend it and hope to return again next year ourselves!

Great location. Had lots of amenities….. great fishing right off the dock, kayaks are available to use !! We never left the house … kitchen stocked with all cooking needs….. Super quiet … we slept great!! But the view … the view!!! That view from the inside of the house and from the deck was the best we’ve seen in a lake house. Beautiful getaway!!!! Thank you!!

My family and I had a wonderful time. The house was clean, well-cared for, and very spacious for the 7 of us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. We made use of the kayaks, raft, and paddle board that were available. The owner was very responsive and easy to get in touch with.

Loved this place. Had so much for the kids to do! Host was friendly and so responsive. Will be coming back when we come back to this area.

We lost our home to fire and stayed at the lake house for about 2 months. Evan was very attentive, caring and helpful. Such a beautiful home, and the view of the lake is outstanding! We're hoping to comeback when it's warmer for a weekend getaway! Thank you for everything!!!!

This place was wonderful for our group! The kids needed space and they got it at this house! It was so nice to have MANY outdoor activities such as basketball courts, kayaking, a hot tub, scooters to roll around on, hiking path, and just lots of room everywhere! The house was great and provided the space we needed to eat, sleep, etc. We were impressed with everything. The showers got cold after awhile, but that is to be expected with that many people showering and doing some laundry. When we planned better, then it wasn’t a problem. The hosts were great to work with and responded right away whenever we had a question. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, and I hope to stay there again when I bring a group to Kentucky in the future!

This home is a must stay, if you are looking for a beautiful, scenic, cozy and private place to stay! The view of the lake is breathtaking and the bird feeders on the deck made you feel like you were one with nature! We had a visit from the Cardinal everyday of our visit. The home is clean, spacious and the host was Amazing!

The home was spacious, clean and well kept. We especially enjoyed the deck and picture window overlooking the lake. A great spot for 2 couples to relax and enjoy what Kentucky has to offer. Very close proximity to the Bulleit Distillery, which held its Autumn Fest during our stay. Highly recommend

We loved our long weekend at the cottage! It was such a peaceful setting that allowed us to relax and recharge. The lake-view from the deck, in the morning and evenings was awesome. It was a little too chilly for water activities, but we look forward to returning in the summer and taking full advantage of ‘lake life!’ The host was so accommodating. We loved the location in proximity to the daily activities we were doing-Creation Museum/Newport, visiting distilleries in Frankfort and the local Ark Encounter.

I can't say enough about our great experience at Ron and Kathy's! The place is exactly as described, warm and welcoming. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch listening to the birds and the water lapping at the shore. We also had a campfire one night and watched the sunset. If you need some peaceful and quiet days this is the place for you! Ron and Kathy were so friendly and helpful with local fishing recommendations. 😊 We would definitely stay here again!

My family will definitely be returning! Love the atmosphere, the setting, and the amenities. It is fun for kids and adults. It is relaxing and peaceful. There is no wifi and little cell service but for me and my family that is a win so we can unplug and spend quality time together. There are certain spots you can obtain cell service to contact loved ones and check in if need be!

If you have the chance to stay here, absolutely take it! The hosts were the most welcoming and friendly hosts I’ve ever stayed with in all my years staying in airbnbs. Their property was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. The airbnb was also so cozy, and EXACTLY what me and my fiancé wanted for our getaway to disconnect from the chaos of the world. If you love cats, they have the best ( and sweetest) welcoming committee possible! They offered so many helpful recommendations for local restaurants and places to shop as well, which was so amazing. I genuinely cannot emphasize enough how wonderful they, and their home are! I’d absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in the area!

We will definitely be back to Debbie's place! The view was amazing, the cabin was homey and had everything you would need to enjoy the space! The gaming area below was awesome for unwinding on chillier evenings. The deck with the porch swing was perfect for peaceful morning coffee, even with the nearby rooster lol im familiar with the area but this was definitely a hidden gem!

The home was everything as described. Very nice and clean! I would kind of get a look at the directions before you head out there. You might not have service for a minute. Because we did look, it was easy to get to! Definately would stay there again!

Tonya was an AMAZING host! Her place is just as described, and she was extremely friendly, helpful and thoughtful. We stayed in early April right after it had been raining heavily for a few days, so sadly we weren't able to enjoy all the amenities she had to offer as much as we wanted, plus the pool wasn't open yet. The first day we arrived; we did go on the kayaks for a bit, but it was short lived because it was too cold, the second day was super windy and colder than we had expected, which prevented us from being able to do much outside, (but we ended up visiting the Creation Museum that day anyways, and then the ARK the following morning; both were 5 stars!) but unfortunately we had to cut our trip short, so i paid for 3 nights and ended up only staying 2, and couldn't really enjoy the added amenities due to weather while we were there, so I wouldn't give the experience 5 stars, but I do give Tonya and her place 5 stars b/c everything was exactly as described. :) Thank You Tonya

The cabin was a dream. Had everything we needed, including the nature views. The deck was amazing for kids since there were no exits that the kids could sneak through. We loved our stay!

Cozy, clean cabin nestled in beautiful scenery with ponds, nearby lake for kayaking, hiking trail with cave, waterfall, Billy Goats gruff & trolls. Hosts were very responsive. Would be a great place for family reunions. Remote--DG Market about 20 minutes away. Large porches to relax & take in the views or firepit to gather around. Toured Crystal Onyx Cave with kitchy picture ops. Visited Bowling Green. Want to come back to track a corvette & visit museum. Booked 3 nights--should have planned a whole week!

Beautiful, private in the rolling hills of Kentucky. This is a refuge away from the touristy parts of Kentucky to rejuvenate if you like the outdoors and privacy. We didn't use the pool but appreciate that would be an option for next time! :) So much to appreciate about Kentucky and Annjenettes hospitable home and stay was a blessing!

If I could give this 10 stars I would! Beautiful little Cabin with so much history inside. Full kitchen, Cozy living area, sleep number bed was very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, so many flowers, plants, trees, just perfections and very quiet. Tammy and Jane greeted us as we checked in and showed us around. Tammy also made us breakfast every morning, fresh and homemade and even a to go basket on our last morning. The neighborhood is very peaceful. We were visiting for the derby and wished we had more time to enjoy this little peace of beauty!

This was a delightful getaway for me and my pup. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the clear and friendly communication from Josh. The property is stunning and the cabin was no-frills but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Josh has put a lot of time and thought into this project and is a great host. I felt I could enjoy the silence of the space while also knowing Josh was there if I needed anything.

We loved our stay at the cabin. It was secluded enough to feel like a retreat and close enough to go out and explore. The pond and porch are fantastic relaxing spots. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. We went on the bourbon trail and checked out Woodford Reserve, Castle & Key, Wild Turkey, Four Roses, and Buffalo Trace. We also enjoyed some of Tracy’s recommendations, such as, dining at The Glitz and Wildside Winery. Everything was amazing! At the end of the trip, I wasn’t ready to leave. I enjoyed one last bourbon on the porch and said goodbye to the beautiful slice of heaven that Tracy and Larry shared with us. I am already looking at the calendar to schedule another visit. Thank you Tracy and Larry, from all of us!
