Great place and great location. Everything needed was provided and more. Beautiful place to spend a few days and use as a base to explore Northumberland.

Absolutely wonderful stay in Swallow Cottage, spacious and well appointed rooms, bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen, looking out over the fields and hills. Lots of wildlife around the place and chickens on site which our eldest boy loved. Harvest and Dave were great hosts who were very responsive and helpful. The home made cake on arrival was a lovely touch. The cottages are in the middle of rolling fields but near enough to lots of places within 40 mins in beautiful Northumberland. We even caught the train to Edinburgh one day from Berwick(1 hour door to door). One of the best places we've stayed and wouldn't hesitate coming back.

What a lovely cottage! Julie and Nigel's cottage is a real home from home, and it matches the photographs perfectly. Thoughtfully decorated, and made to feel homely with blankets, pictures, books etc. Homemade bread and delicious muffins, plus milk and tea and good coffee were most welcome. I appreciated the use of Eco friendly cleaning products and shampoos etc. Comfortable bed with cotton duvet cover and comfy pillows. Big, fluffy towels were great. There are maps and suggestions of places to visit and eat. Julie sent me some recommendations too which were helpful. Friendly neighbours who are keen to share information too. It is perfect for two people - and our dog was made ever so welcome too. Julie and Nigel were responsive to messages right from booking to the end of our stay. We've just returned home from a wonderful stay at the Thorpington Lodge in Mindrum. What a beautiful place. Absolute serenity. It's vista across the hills is spectacular and wonderful view to start your day or wind down. Fabulous location and a nice drive away from fabulous places such as Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Alnwick. We loved the house and it was made all the better with roaring fire. Our little dog enjoyed playing ball and we loved sunning ourselves in the garden with a little picnic with only birds or lambs to be heard. Bliss. We must thank Jeff and Lindsey for our gifts and we enjoyed our short chats. We hope to visit again the finest county in all of England.
