Thank you for taking care of me after I had been canceled twice by other AirBNBs!!! You all made the stay the MOST enjoyable. They were very friendly and helped all the way until I had to leave. Certainly was worth the money and the hassle I had to go through with the other reservations. Made my time in New York very simple and enjoyable! When I come to New York, if I do not stay with a friend I will certainly see if you all are available!

This hotel brings Old New York back to life in a setting that equally recalls the Algonquin Round Table and a boozy speakeasy with its underground lobby and unassuming street presence. The warm lobby features a grand fireplace, an upright piano, a browsing library, and many comfortable nooks from which to enjoy it all. The rooms are clean and bright, with thoughtful furnishings and are spacious enough. The hotel restaurant stands in its own right as worthy of a visit for its consistently excellent food, pleasant bar, and sky-lighted dining room.

We had a great stay! The room is tiny so as long as you don’t expect to have a lot of space, you’ll love it. The bathroom was very nice, great shower with double shower head. Bed was comfy and the hotel is very charming and cozy. Would definitely stay here again. Gentleman at check in was lovely.

Sohotel is a cool little boutique hotel in a great location near Chinatown and Little Italy. The decor is chic and moody, just how the ghosts like it. There are a few inviting, comfortable seating areas that are always empty of guests. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable, with a boho-industrial vibe. The pillows are super squishy. We had the family room with three beds. Each bed had a different level of softness — like the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The shower in our room had great water pressure. The front desk staff is helpful and accommodating. It was difficult to get in to the two restaurant/bars closest to the hotel, so we will be sure to make reservations the next time we stay there. We slept with the window open, but even with the windows closed, the hotel is above a bar with awesome drinks, so the sounds of folks partying was noisy. Music to my ears, but some people may want to bring a pair of foam ear plugs if they need silence to sleep.

The place is in a quiet neighborhood and close to the river, we always returned around midnight and felt calm walking back. The rooms are clean and just like the photos. The metro station is a 10-minute walk away. A new jacket we had bought disappeared and no one took responsibility. If there is an event or party in the hotel, a lot of noise can be heard in the rooms. In general, it was a good place to stay and we had a window with an incredible view of the city.
