Enjoy your stay in this simple flat in an old house between Hieflau at the Enns river and Eisenerz, the medieval mining town for iron. Listen to the rushing Alpine river Erzbach; climb some peaks in the surrounding Alps or swim in the lake Leopoldsteinersee in a 10km bike ride on a cycle path. Update June 2025: works started to build a water power station on the river below the house. As a result there might be noise between 6:30am and 4pm on weekdays while the river bank is not accessible.

Our house is centrally located and ideal for those seeking relaxation and nature lovers. The apartment is located at the end of the private road belonging to the house. The apartment has been lovingly designed with souvenirs from our seven-year world trip. Many of the details have a story that we are happy to pass on to interested parties on request. The apartment offers the possibility for vacation, relaxation and creative work. Furthermore, we offer "Impulses for partnership" on request.

In the most beautiful hiking area Kalkalpen National Park. Hikes from easy to challenging directly from the hut. Excursions to the surrounding area. Swimming, climbing, rafting, museums, etc. Snowshoeing in winter. Wi-Fi internet. In the ground floor parlour with a corner bench group. Electric stove, dishwasher, Nespresso capsule machine, filter machine, blender, toaster, microwave....SAT-TV. Fridge with large freezer compartment. Books, games, even for kids.

The former barn is originally converted into a holiday home of a special kind, 144 m² on two levels. Surrounded by 2 ha of meadow, 1 ha of forest, a place for retreat, for family holidays, for "Simply Being in Hollenstein." Swimming, tennis, cycling (Ybbstag cycle path right outside the door), hiking, skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing right by the house if the snow allows! 3 km from the center of Hollenstein, very good infrastructure.
