Pihakammari is located in the vicinity of Alvar Aalto's home; Aalto's experimental house and Säynätsalo municipal hall are 2-3 km away, Muurame church 7 km from the accommodation. The experimental house can be seen along the ice route. The accommodation has a kitchen equipped with dishes, a coffee and kettle and a microwave, as well as a refrigerator.
